Metroid Prime Corruption Official Thread (perhaps)

This is a place to discuss all things in the world of Metroid including past games and your wishes for this new one.

With the game due to hit the U.S it's high time for a official thread to keep things tidy. In the coming weeks there will no doubt be tons of videos entering sites all over the interweb, if you are to post a video that could be deemed highly spoilerific please state so clearly above the vid in order to not ruin the experience for others. In respect to images the same applies also, please post images of a friendly size no matter how gorgeous they look

Just started playing Hunters a few days ago...its nothing special but its keeping me occupied while I take a break from Motorstorm .

Havent really paid much attention to the series' before, and havent really seen many screens/videos/art etc...may have to check a few videos out.

Those lucky bastards! How dare they taunt us with their getting-games-many-days-before-the-actual-releasedness! Seven days seems like an eternity, that combined with the large amounts of alchohol on the 21st birthday of a friend of mine will make the coming of this weekend all the sweeter. Yay for playing Metroid while drunk!

A rather amazing hour too (if anyone discusses any specific points use spoiler tags just in case). When you compare the original E3 demos to this you can see a vast amount of improvement (even on a youtube video).

I agree it does seem like a vast improvement from that earlier footage we saw, everything just seems so brilliantly tight. I am glad I watched it, it merely filled in the gaps of all the footage I had seen before. I would probally not watch the last minutes of the last vid even if you have seen all the videos officially released on sites so far.

Games Radar wont be getting any exclusives in future, not that they were before .

Love Prime but with Super Metroid today I can see why people don't. Super Metroid eclipses all.

I am so tempted to look at it, but I swore not to wreck the game for myself. I shall wait...

I thought you could not watch vids Z, anyway you would not be missing that much if you have seen the previous vids before, but the way these controls seem to be working is something that makes me believe the claim of "best FPS controls on console" is very true.{LS]

I'm quite pleased about the tokens that you can collect. Not so much the scanning ones, but I read that there should be tokens collected for doing certain objects. I think the example given was preventing someone from being killed by Space Pirates earned you a token.

I agree, also the fact that in that preview they mention how many hours in they are in relation to the % makes the game sound huge!.

Mod, you know when you manipulate those turn switches am I right in thinking you use the Wii Remote rather than the Nunchuk?. I know it's such a minor thing but it does look awkward(wrong hands), I guess the Nunchuk cannot pull it off properly which is a bit of a shame.{LS]

Yeah, it's the Wii remote, not entirely sure why, I'm thinking it maybe because it uses the pointer moreso than actual motion sensing to detect the movement and twist. Although at least nunchuk is still used, adn to great effect. MP3 is coming across to me as almost the epitomy of how FPS controls, and in general controls on Wii should be.

Probably, or it was the mistake of some intern posting all of them. Hope they get put back soon, was in the middle of watching them (had it on continuous play) and when switching to the new vid it went to the homepage, and the metroid prime 3 media blowout logo and stuff was what was there had gone.

Has anyone seen the vid with the metroids attacking the camera it was so crazy
