The Metroid Retrospective

With the upcoming release of Metroid Prime 3: Corruption, I found these videos guiding through Metroid's history taking us through Samus' battles with Ridley and co. Enjoy.

I cant wait for Super Metroid to get on the VC. I've just been playing Metroid for the last few days. It's a little tricky (where the hell am I going?) but still fun.

Also having stuck the last 20 years or so in 2 episodes, how are they going to fit in the last 5 years retro-look in to 3 episodes.

(Arse, having just looked up Metroid Prime in wikipedia I completely forgot that Prime let you play the original Metroid game. I've just wasted 500 points "Nintendo, I want my money back")

Not quite - you have to have a GBA and link up cable, and possibly metroid fusion. Would end up paying more that way than just getting it on VC (unless you have all that already).

I think it's more than a three aprt isn't it? Didn't know ep 2 was up, good series though.

Well, they had to cover 20 years in two episodes due to the large gap between games. I'm still yet to play Fusion. D:

BTW the boy who likes to, if you've beaten Zero Mission, you unlock the original Metroid.

My guess is that Episode 3 will be Prime and Prime 2.
" " Episode 4 will be ZM and Hunters.
" " Episode 5 will be Prime 3 and beyond.

But, how can a Retrospective (meaning look in to the past) focus on the future.

That's a very good point. It'll be interesting to see what they say about the story line about Hunters. There was no real story, there was no real anything. It was just shit.

I think hunters was a pretty good game even if it had no real storyline to it.
