Will licenses and sequels kill video gaming?

Simple question hopefully simple answer?

I guess we will have to wait and see, but at the moment they seem to be. Nintendo also seem to be the last company left out there willing to create anything new at all, (except Sega) if they die so does the videogame industry in my opinion.

yeh, besides the few developers like Valve that develop for the pc. At the end of the day Microsoft and Sony don't give a toss what happends to the gaming industry or if there are any quality games out there, as long as they get their money which does make me a little sad as it is not what Games should be about and Nintendo are the only ones who still realise that and by all accounts always will.

Yeah sony and micosoft need to decide what is more important money or...no wait stupid question.
