new characters in super smash bros brawl

To be honest with the plethora of Square games and their involvement with Mario Basketball i could easily see a character coming from a Square Enix franchise if anything.

Perhaps Cloud, Seperoth. Or maybe someone else.

Personally i would love to see Sonic in it, but if he was going to be announced surely they'd drop that bombshell at the new E3 event in ...June?

Wow...doesnt the world feel weird without E3 in may, its thrown me off a mo fo'in treat!

And on-topic, the game is meant to be a celebration of Nintendo characters. Putting annoying Americans such as Viewtiful Joe and Sonic in would spoil the effect. Please let there be the option to have Snake talk in Japanese, like Marth and Roy in [i]M

So many choices, I think a short list will include

- Mega Man
- Game and Watch
- Pig Form Gannon (Maybe an alt costume)
- Shadow Gannon
- Koopa (Green Shell)
- King Boo
- Vivi the Black Mage from FF9 (even though its a playstation game... Come on Solid Snake is on there!)

But why, they're racers not fighters, and to be perfectly honest the character design for F-Zero is absolutely terrible... They all look like complete idiots and I can only imagine them giving a light slap at most...

i must say the f-zero characters do look about bit weird

Zant and Midna, and Ganondorf back of course, plus since we've got TP Link we should have cell-shaded Link too.

And Ridley, MAYBE Dark Samus.

Playing as a Koopa would be fun, too...

How the fuck is Sonic American anyway... I'm about 100% certain that Melee used the same voices in all regions, so I can't see why Sonic would have his English voice...

Corrected. And regardless of accents, Sonic has far too much of an attitude problem to be likeable.

The new characters that sould be on ssbb is sonic and tails and Knuckles , krystal, Ray mk 2, zero (from the megaman zero series or the ZX series) klonoa, sora and riku, ryu (from the breath of fire series manly 3) blaze and Silver, soma,alucard, Neo G Red, Wolf O'Donnel Veemon and Renamon. I think that's the way that most people view the game, especially with the trophies providing a backlog of Nintendo's history and the characters (up until now) acting as a list of Nintendo greats. (Jigglypuff excluded.) It all feels like a huge Nintendo carnival, a celebration of all the things we love about the company. Introducing other characters would spoil the effect.

I'll admit to not having played the earlier Sonic games, but if they do introduce the blue-spiked one I reckon that he'll be based on his later image, which has a strong hint of angsty American teenager.
