as time ticks down till i willbe able to afford one of this little beauties (6 days and counting at time of writing) as question requring confirmation pops into my mind.

can you link it up to other game boy advances?

by this i mean, for example, can you play multiplayer GBA games such as mario kart by linking it to other gameboy adavnces and u just using the tv screen instead of the GBA screen? I know it has the link port and i am hoping you can do this. Can you use it as a fully functioning GBA, with just the best possible screen?

thank you for your answer in advance,

david_reed48

Yep, the GBP basically turnes your GC+TV into a fully-functional GBA - you can link it up with the usual link-cable (GBA-GBA) and you can even link two or more GC's together for it to work fine.

I will be getting one tomorrow and need to know, can it link up to the gamecube?

(E.G. Metroid Fusion - Metroid Prime)

Regards, James

thanks for the answer, that is exactly what i thought myself (and hoped for). i am going to be buying one soon as i should be getting the money on saturday.

sorry james but u cannot link it up like that unless u have 2 Gcs and 2 TVs, because u will need a seperate Display for the GBA and the GC. Think of a GC and GBP as one, it is either a Gc or a GBA, not both but if u plug the GC GBP unit into another GC, u have plugged a GBA into a GC. so to do as u wish, u need 2 TVs, 2 GCs and 1 GBP as well as games.

Yeah you need the GBA on for connectivity. and to turn the GB player on you need the boot disc. therefore it would be impossible to have both Prime and the bootdisc on at the same time. Perhaps in the future Nintendo will find a way around this.

nah they wopuldnt want to do that cos then less people would buy a GBA (according to Ninty logic that connectivity sells units anyway).
