Nintendo News | THQ Talks Wii & DS WWE Smackdown vs. Raw 2008 [news]

I have to say that I loathe wrestling. Since everybody knows that the fights are fake, people only watch it for the storylines. In my book, that makes it a homoerotic soap opera (excluding bouts with female wrestlers, which is just an erotic soap opera) - not a good thing.

And that background automatically prejudices me against wrestling games - a shame, since I can think of few things more fun than slamming a virtual representation of a friend, family member or great villain into the canvas head-first. Super Mario Wrestling, anyone?

So you liked Wrestling when you thought it was *not* fake?
Oh my... I think I never liked Wrestling. And playing it is even less interesting then playing boxing. I even do not find Wii Sports Boxing interesting. But it's no bad thing to make a game of. Why not? And I hear some of these games are actually well done.
Still nothing for met to do. But who plays the JRPGs when you are all wrestling Wii? Except Balladeer of course.

Are there any homoerotic games out there? Maybe it's time for one... *lol*

I hate wrestling but if they can get the motions right (and from the early video they seem to be going well!) this game should be really fun.
I love wii boxing it's a great laugh this could be like an extension of that and the goofiness of wrestling can help replace the fact theres probably no miis in the game ;_;.

I can't remember if I ever had that stage - I think that, from the first time I heard of it, I knew the falsity of it all.

I used to love wrestling when it was good, WWF, not this crappy WWE.

As far as playing it, a console can't simulate giving your friend a tombstone pildriver on the field outside your house

The last good wrestling game was No Mercy on the N64, I still play it today.

The only thing I want to hear from THQ starts "We will cease business operations..."

I have a friend who really loves wrestling games, and I could see a nifty one being fun, but I would never trust any THQ game.

The closest thing i want to see to wrestling on the wii is UFC.
But atleast it'll bring fans to Nintendo
