Straight from the AOU Amusement Expo in Tokyo comes word of a new Silent Hill arcade game. Usually, one doesn't equate the cerebral Silent Hill series with straight-up arcade-style action, but it looks like Konami is going in that direction - for this game, at least.
Gameplay reports from Impress Watch confirm that the game is a shooter, much like Sega's House of the Dead series. But unlike most other shooting games, Silent Hill: The Arcade employs a life bar system that starts out at 100 life points, but decreases with each hit a player takes.
The standard weapon is a normal handgun with a ten-bullet clip, and reloading is accomplished by firing the weapon away from the screen. During certain events, players will be prompted to push a red button found on the side of each gun in order to advance in the story. Other uses for the red button were not made clear in the report.
Using the "e-Amusement Pass" (available only in Asia), gamers are given the luxury of continuing play from where they last left off, making it much easier to access the game's multiple endings.
Konami of America has not yet made a statement regarding a possible American release.

It looks okayish... so i was thinking if they are making an arcade game of this... we might never get a Silent Hill game on Wii, but if we get a spin-off like this it would be awsome.. and it would be playable on the Wii using the wii-mote! So what do you guys think!!!
