Another Photo Contest!

The theme for this photo contest is "Pollution"

The rules:

You are free to interpret the theme in your own way - be it a more abstract take on things, or an 'obvious' shot. The simplest things can make the best photos.

Please note...

-All photos entered must be your own work. Don't just steal them off Google Images.
-Still photo(s) only
-Digital, Film, Polaroid... any type of camera is welcome.
-Specify if edited
-You can enter as many times as you want- remember, you will be better off with a single considered photo, rather than 10 quick snaps.
-Please link to a big version if the dimensions of the photo is larger than 500px. You can check the dimensions by viewing the properties of the image.
-File Format: jpg (preferred), gif, png, bmp

The deadline is Friday 19th January.

Pollution as a theme could definitely get some funny photos, as well as depressing ones.

Well, like GR said, seems logical to me if you could only win this by posting a photo, but post the paint picture anyway.
I've got a paint pollution picture myself I'll probably post here.

I took a two hour bus journey to get my photo today (and do some other stuff). Get to a stop about half way through the journey, and am told that all buses are cancelled, and noones going anywhere.

Why don't photo contests get going anymore?

Well I haven't entered one of these before, so I'm making up for lost time by giving you three.

This is a photo taken from the window of a hotel I was staying in in Stockholm, Sweden. It's just loads of roads, train tracks, buildings and vehicles in an environment that would quite obviously be stunning left untouched.

This is down a coal mine in Wales. It's not just the dirty polluted mine, it's the fact that the coal that's mined would have also gone off to be burned and cause more pollution.

This is one from when I was in Monaco briefly of a stupidly pointless military vehicle that seems to be all the rage for rich people. Behind is a gas guzzling private yacht.

Because the themes are depressing.

Soundworks asked me to judge the many entries for this photo contest.

GR781's is creative, not really obvious but well done nonetheless. I'll go with Stucorbs 'Monaco' picture though, for the total waste of evironment AND money, which can quite infuriate me.

Hopefully the next contest will get more attention. Sucks also that Martin didn't enter due to circumstances, I'd really like to see some work by him next time.
