Its just shit pointing at virtual buttons, as you can see from the video this thread is about.
If anything that video showed the pointer as a far better way of console input than anything weve had so far. D-pad / control stick = slow, clunky and terrible. Pointer = not exactly perfect, nor even brilliant, but easily the best / quickest console text input other than a keyboard plug-in.Thought it was painfully obvious...
Still crap.

Well at least you don't have to use the phone pad method ala PSP.

Gods in His Heaven. Alls right in the World.

Meh i know its aimed at everyone to use it, but im just commenting as a whole on the UI and i think its very bland and boring Smilie. The Xbox 360 interfect, content, objects, blades - everything is perfect. Dont worry tho, the PS3 interface looks just as bland and boring.

Im pretty fast with a phonepad method Smilie, i just cant see no matter how much of an improvment the typing method is, that anyone will bother with it - as its still not easier than writing something on paper Smilie.

Same as half the stuff, like going on the Wii browser, when we all have PC's Smilie

The point is that you can access it from your living room or wherever you are at the time, rather than actually having to go to your pc in another room, why not just access it right from where you are already, and right from the comfort of your sofa.

Obviously no is going to use it to leave serious messages like "your ice cream is in the fridge" but it will be easier typing in general gameing releated things lke your name, sending a message or if you need to fiddle about with wirless SSID's.

I'm expecting lots of "turn this feckin' thing off and do something more useful" messages to be posted on my Wii!

I take it you're a lone child then?

I didn't say it was not crap, just a better way of console input. Are we at a stage where any improvement, be it perfect or not, negates logic and allows unconditional cynicism? If it does then cynicism negates logic and accomaodates anti-logic, and indeed cynicism that ignores any imrovement for the want of trying. Give it a chance, yeah?

/slightly pished rant, sorry grumbs Smilie

I think the Interface looks goood. I'm not happy about the stupid safety screen though. They could at least make that bit look more sleek and tidy.

More on the Wii interface!

Could you picture sitting on your sofa posting to threads in Cubed3 and writing paragraph on paragraph of text, using a Wii Mote SmilieSmilieSmilie.

When I said that I meant to say "you don't have any siblings then do you" Smilie

As is why multiple console browser etc are so good for me, while my bro is on the PC I can go on the DS or Wii, & since Wii can use Flash that'll make it OH SO much better than DS, not to mention it'll be faster & on a bigger screen Smilie
