Indeed! Another awesome exclusive from the Cubed team (aka the irreplacable ADAM RILEY! )
IANC said:
Dude yuor totally awesome. And i won't be killing you anytime soon.
Nintendo Wii launch game, complete with high resolution 2D graphics
2D?...Have my eyes fooled me when watching those screens and vids...
I meant the character art...and anyway, the rest of it hardly cutting-edge 3D, more like spruced-up DS visuals
And thanks Angus and Slydevil - hope you all like the interviews so far Working hard to get more in the future...
Ms. Matsukawa: Although we're very much interested in the Wii hardware, currently we have no plan for the series to appear on any other consoles apart from DS.
Holds potential for the future. The West will get PS2 in early 2007, Phoenix Wright 3 (no doubt) and a translated Gyakuten Saiban 4 all for the DS...and by then it HAS to have been at least planned for an outing on the Wii...
A crossover with Nintendo games would be ace!
I mean, think of the comic potential!
Anyone watch Harvy Birdman here?
I love Harvey Birdman. Don't think the Nintendo character cross over deal would go down real well.
Another good interview Adam.
Thanks K_K! Could you imagine the hilarity that would ensue if there WAS a Phoenix Wright: Mushroom Kingdom Attorney?
Bowser, you have been served...
Anyway, she basically confirms Phoenix Wright will continue to be Nintendo exclusive, which is a definite bonus and doesn't rule out Wii support in the future, just says they're too busy at the moment.
Cracking interview
Hopes this team in the future work on the Wii from playing Pheonix Wright i can tell they are very talented bunch of fellows
Minae is also quite pretty
Yeah...an interesting interview. I love the way any questions geared towards a Ninty-fanboy stance are cleverly answered with "I also appreciate Nintendo coming up with such great hardware to work on." That's another way of saying "We can't actually diss the PS3 or 360 because Sony and Microsoft are paying us too much to make games for them."

Yeah I've seen a picture of Minae in Nintendo Official Magazine, she is quite pretty. she works for Capcom's Clover Studios along side Inhaba-san, the guy responsible for the Viewtiful Joe franchise. It would be nice to see some sort of Phoenix Wright game on Wii in the future as i'm pretty sure that a viewtful Joe game is in the pipeline for our favourite console.
Games like Truama Centre and Phonix Wright are better suited to 2D visuals as Truama centre is for a broad range of ages and photo-realistic graphics would mean a higher ESLPA (or whatever) rating. P.W. has an anime feel to it and that doesn't need to change. I'm sure most of you will agree to me that photo-realism sucks for certain games. Raz that was a fantastic interview and you asked some interesting questions. If they were to do a Wii version of P.W, as a bonus they could have Browser as the defendant as to why he keeps kidnapping Princess Peach. They could even include footage from previous Mario games to support this. Or you could have Mario on trial for that Delphino Island ruccas in SM Sunshine or being accused by Bowser or Waluigi for something else, or have Bowser served with a restrainal order for persistant kidnaps, that could be a great bonus feature.
Hi,
This interview is causing some confusion among fans of the Gyakuten Saiban/ Phoenix Wright games, as it is unclear what is meant with the "all new episodes". Some people interpret this as a way to describe the 4 original GS2 episodes, which are all new to western gamers, while others believe one or more episodes were added, as with the first DS remake.
To help clear this up, I was wondering if it would be okay to ask for the original wording of that line? Or even better, would it be possible to contact Ms. Matsukawa for clarification?
Greets, Kaz
Would Phoenix Wright have an easy transition from handheld to console?
What you's think?
To be honest, if it worked on the GBA and then transferred well onto the DS, I feel it'd cross over to the Wii without much of a problem at all.
I also feel there could be some very interesting uses for the controller when investigating!
By the way, the clarification about 'new content' is now included in the interview.
