not a burnout fan really but this has to be true, the only reason why EA didnt bring out the last one on game (I think it was the last one) was because Nintendo wasn't really supporting online play with the gamecube or I think it was because of that.

Well its understandable. Burnout is one huge franchise these days, So the more platforms the better.

Lets hope it's as good as Burnout Legends on the DS.

Burnout Legends wasn't developed by Criterion, unfortunately. Thankfully, though, it tanked, showing EA it should churn out quick crap.

As for Burnout 3 & 4 not coming to the GC, it was indeed due to the lack of online infrastructure on the system. Now the Wii has Nintendo's Wi-Fi Connection service, EA's qualms are quashed!

it would be cool to be able to smash the other cars by swinging the wiimote towards the car. and depending on how much power u put into that it would do more damage.

After seeing Excite Truck work so well, Burnout would definitely fit perfectly...

I'm pretty sure that Criterion are as excited as we are about the prospect of bringing a Burnout game to the Wii console. Because as much as PS fan may loathe to hear it or not, Burnout's franchise's orginally came to fame when it was released as a launch title for the Nintendo Gamecube. (at that time the first game in the series was just considered an average racer on the PS2).
the guy that developed the control system when interview by Cube mag said he was passionate about it. If he could do that for the Cube back then, just imagine how this "passion" could do for Burnout on the Wii via the Wiimote. Not to mention how dedicated Criterion were to the visuals of the Cube PS2 and Xbox versions. If this rumour turns out to be true then these my friends are exciting times for us future Wii owners.
EA and Nintendo, over to you. Smilie

It will be cool to see Burnout on the Wii, i would really like the feeling of holding the controller like a steering wheel.

Silence is the loudest noise we could possibly hear.

Why would anyone buy it when they can get Excite Truck? Smilie

Burnout FTW Smilie
Really hope this is true, Burnout 2 is still my the household racing favorite... in fact its the reason i first came to C3, looking for laptimes.

Excite Truck Nintendo
Burnout EA
Monster Truck 4x4 UbiSoft

There certainly is enough how should i put it racers that are all about speed and taking people out and this doesn't include Mario kart and F-Zero looks like the Wii could be good for racers no muck Gran Turismo and PGR for me they are terribly boring games

Mike Gee of iZINE said, "...The Verve, as he [Richard Ashcroft] promised, had become the greatest band in the world. Most of the critics agreed with him. Most paid due homage. The Verve were no longer the question mark or the clich. They were the statement and the definition."

oh thank god you said it, i thought i was the only one who thought Gran Turismo was "Driving miss daisy"... booorrrringSmilie

Um, add Cars to that.

Is anyone getting a little bit of de ja vu...."new racing game!" "new fps game!" <_<

Hopefully the wii won't get too saturated with driving/fps games just because of the wiimote.

It's not like I'm going to buy burnout on my wii instead of my 360. I'd rather have the graphics than use the wiimote. (note, I am excited about Burnout btw, since I've always loved it Smilie)

SmilieAHHH!!!Smilie

I love Burnout 3 Takedown so much!! This ought to be really good then!!!

hopefully its good an nota complete piece of crap.

Excellent news if true; Burnout on last generation systems has got tiring and all the Xbox 360 and PS3 versions seem to offer is better graphics. A Wii version could really be the next step up in the series.

Or of course, the biggest failure. Smilie
