although this is extremely unlikely i thought that i would throw it out there for all to query. wouldn't it be fantastic as links awakening is one of the best zelda games ever made.

what has prompted me to think about this is ffiii. in ff iii see the complete update in 3d of one of the best franchises in history. so why not a zelda update?

i know its unlikely but it would be amazing on the ds. wht do you think?

It would actually be really good. The only problem that stands out to me straight away is that, because Ninty has released so many Zelda games, doing another version (read: rehash) could tarnish the series, as they would just be accused of milking one of their best properties.

Which, of course, they have never done before Smilie

Same here, seeing as I missed out on all the 'old-skool' Zelda's etc. On that note, I wouldn't mind all the GB Zelda's on the Virtual Console

It's certainly one of the most fondly remembered Zelda games by fans, could be quite good.

Zelda:LA is certainly in my top 3 zelda games but im not sure that it will be good for a remake. The game never really had that much depth like modern zelda games such as OOT or the minish Cap, some story alterations would have to be done as LA's story is rather poor compared to todays standard.

-Have you any idea what it's like to be a Fembot living in a Manbot's Manputer's world?
-What?

Seen as they've already remade it once in the past few years (for the GBA) and no doubt it'll be coming to the Virtual Console at some point...I can't see a 3D version coming anytime soon.

As long as they don't remake zelda 2

I remember a dev saying how a remake of that would be an interesting challenge, it would be fascinating to see if someone could od it justice.

Best comment ever!
JB is right people, shower him in stars!

Erm, I'd rather leave brilliant classics like that untouched. I'd much prefer a brand new 3D Zelda to a remake. They'd have to start developing from scratch, so what would be the point of creating an old game that most people already consider to be the best Zelda ever; I don't see them making it any better in 3D and the translation might even take away from the experience.

Enough with the remakes. Smilie
