I think it is about time that Sega should make full 3d versions of their old games (sonic 1, sonic 2, etc)
What are your opinions?

I think the 2D versions are better than the more recent ones. The speed doesnt translate so well into 3D and it just feels like theres something missing.
I didn't enjoy Sonic Adv. on the DC and hated SA2B, but thats just my opinion. Maybe cos I played the 2D ones first.
Yep. I agree. To be honest - I never did like Sonic Adventure - sure, it was an excellent title on the Dreamcast, and the sequel on the GC, but, it had something missing.
What? Well, I've always loved the A --> B thing the classics had, and the fact that killing enemies was much more easy at side scrolling view point. Thus, I would like to see a full remake of the game I've gone on about in the Retro forum - Sonic and Knuckles - but, not ported like it was in Mega Collection, instead a fully rendered 3D adventure or something similar - but still side scrolling.
Heck, look what capcom have done with Viewtiful Joe, still a 2D side scrolling action game, and I think Sonic just doesn't work well in full 3D.
Also, a 3D version of A Link to the Past would be excellent, a true masterpiece, and if link looked as, shall we say, bad-ass as he does in Soul Calibur 2 or in a Capcom style, then that would be, perhaps, even better than OOT and WW.

Personally I think that sega shouldn't make a remake of their 2d in to 3d games.
Just because I don't wont any body spoiling classic games that we all love. I mean if it was Sonic 1 which was amazing, we would all be expecting another amazing game , but then if it wasn't up to our standards it would get slated in reviews.
So I say port games on to the GC but keep them the same as the oridganal or the one exception of trying to revieve a poor game with a new image.
