This could be awsome if they decide to do this. ^^
It would be nice having all Nintendos consoles in just two machines, a handheld for all N handhelds and a console for all N consoles... Brilliant!

AMAZING!! I would be able to complete the Metroid colection & get some good Kirby games too! As well as the Wario Land games I havn't got yet!
Why not have both.
GB games on the Wii could be downloaded to the DS.
Heck, GB, GBC, SMS, and NES could all be done easily.
Snes is emulatable, but it would take too much work and not all games would fit in ram.
SEGA Should add:
Arcade
Saturn
32X
to the Wii's VC, do you think that even after the Wii's release, they might add new games & new consoles to the VC every now & then?
Say you buy the Wii, & the VC starts out having a selection of the consoles we know are on it, but could they, do you reckon, add Saturn games into it even after it's release?
How would they be stored though? The DS has no internal memory, unlike the Wii.
Mayb a rewritable card? It is do-able...
It's a great idea...not sure i'd use it though..already owning a GB myself.

Exactly..

Dude yuor totally awesome. And i won't be killing you anytime soon.
That would be awesome! Nintendo could sell a DS game card that automatically takes you on-line to the store and has a good deal of re-writable memory (though nothing massive, we are talking about GB games here!); and I suppose you could just enter a credit card number from the DS touch screen and then you download your game.
That would be great, but I was thinking that they could write it on to a SD card thing, but wouldn't it be more complecated then just simply downloading the game writing it on to the card?
Re-writable card = Piratey! Ninty are very cautious of this.
as for the saturn being on wii.... there is a space issue... same with Arcade. There is a rumour we'll get the 32x games though. Not that there's many to get, Virtua Fighter and Chaotix... that's about it.

i bloody hope so. i know its not the same thing but Bungie add new types of matchmaking to Halo 2 every couple of months, it would be great if Nintendo added perhaps less known titles, or added titles due to popular demand.
Bungie have a massive forum, where they ask the community what changes they want made to Halo, with this its on a far larger scale though, so im not sure how Nintendo would go about finding what games people want added to the library.
that would be a great way to market the DS to older gamers and people who kinda stopped playing games after the GB/NES era

Anyway, it would be great if Nintendo decided to do more polls & surveys about things, & that will be more likely with the arrival of Wii, & new WiFi games for DS, more downloadable modes, they do it with other games! & Comapnies seem to be doing that on message boards etc recently, like the Super Smash Brawl survey (on the JP site, the one where you vote for characters yo want to be in the game!)
so im not sure how Nintendo would go about finding what games people want added to the library.
Especially with the poor Nintendo Europe forums, you can never get your point across to anyone.
I'd like to see the GameBoy on the VC, but I just think of the Game Boy player and the pixelly resolutions.
I think the next Nintendo handheld may have some sort of internal storage THEN they can start the VC sercice for handhelds
It makes me kind of envious to know that the games in the Live Arcade will be reprogrammed to use HD

I'd say it's certain that's what they'll do. They'll start with more popular titles and slowly add more.
I'm not sure I'd use a Game Boy Virtual Console, with me owning about 3 different Game Boys and my DS alone keeping me busy anyway, but it's a good idea. I'd think they should go on Wii as well.
