# Would you like to see Pang on the Nintendo DS?
To be honest, it looks like a mini-game that would be included as part of a larger game. I probably wouldn't fork out more than
No, because you can play an almost identical game on nearly every single Flash game site ever created.
Robii said:Exactly... The only way I can see this being succesful is if they add loads of extras, or other mini-games. Then again those flash games are some of the most addictive flash games ever, and portability would rock. Touch screen control is pretty much obvious, but I'd hope for something more than just simple bubble tapping...

-Would you like to see Pang on the Nintendo DS?
Would only buy it if it was really really cheap
-Do you think it will appeal to US and Euro gamers?
Unfortunately I doubt it. I doubt anyone would bother going to a shop and exchanging money for a bubble popping game
-How should it play?
By prodding the bubbles with the stylus I suppose
-What would you like to see included in the game?
Errrrrm.... more bubles than EVER BEFORE!!!
Thing is, this game has done extremely well under the name 'Buster Bros.' on Sony's systems and even on the SNES. You run around shooting off what appear to be spiralled spikes in an attempt to burst the bubbles that appear on screen.
Each bubble burst splits, then splits again until the final tiny ones are hit...clear all the bubbles on the screen and move onto the next one. It's classic action-puzzling goodness.
Just imagine varied levels full of obstacles keeping the bubbles out of your reach, making it awkward to hit them. Using the touch-screen to draw the direction of the spikes you need to fire, trying to get the right angle to succeed. It would definitely have to be a $19.99/
YES!
For the love of gaming yes.
Yes.
(thats yes)
and yeah.
I love that game.
Id like to see the original games included, and if it works a new DS orientated version whereby you touch the stylus and the harpoon shoots at the angle from the player to the touch.
Multiplayer would be excellent too. Using the panic mode type thing; whereby you start with a balloon each, and the more you detroy the more balloons the other person gets. BUT, you can press a button to get another balloon, thereby making it harder but giving you more opportunity to send them to your opponent.

While it'd work, I think I'd rather see it on the Virtual Console of Wii. It could be a lot of fun on DS, but I just can't see people paying for it without a lot of work.

If it was very cheap and included a variety of modes, including the original game and all new DS-exclusive modes.
- How should it play?
Well, popping the bubbles with the stylus of course. I'm not quite sure how to answer this question.
- What would you like to see included in the game?
Wireless multiplayer (online and offline), the original game (as it originally was, unchanged) and an all-new DS mode or two that could possibly take advantage of the top screen too (how, I'm not sure, but I'm not the game designer here).
I think the key to making it work is threefold:
Extended single mode, lots of levels. (hence Pang 1/2/3)
Good multiplayer single cart of course.
Good high score system (maybe even wi-fi scores) to keep the challenge going.
While it'd work, I think I'd rather see it on the Virtual Console of Wii
To be honest I'm finding it quite hard to find a reason or a purpose for this game on the DS, but any support is good support so I say they go for it and if I have any ideas I'll let you know.
Perhaps a mode where you are the baloon and have to defend yourself from getting shot, or in the normal mode perhaps you have to USE baloons to help you achieve your goal. Interesting new single mode.. I'm starting to see it aleady.
Great feedback so far guys! All of it is really helpful and I'll make sure it all gets back to the right source.
Oh, and muchas gracias to John/Hazuki for setting up this topic for me whilst I was stuck at work with the filters that block C3
- RTB, your enthusiasm for the game is just what Mr Ozaki-san is looking for. That passion for the series that can help develop it further for new users to enjoy.
- Tipsy, your idea intrigues me. Can you tell me more about those two possible modes, please?
- Mike, online play and scoreboards would be a must, as would a cheap price tag (I already suggested putting it under the cheap side of the Touch Generations umbrella)...and including the EXACT original is definitely something I agree with for fans of the original.
Personally a two-player mode where clearing your bubbles quicker means more appear on your opponents side could be interesting...Also, including combination moves to clear several bubbles at once could result in grey bubbles landing on your opponent's screen, only to be cleared by doing an equally impressive combo!

Anytime, I'd give feedback but I have nothing ot add that hasn't already been mentioned.
Would you like to see Pang on the Nintendo DS?
- Hell, yeah! Pang would be a welcome asset to the DS library.
Do you think it will appeal to US and Euro gamers?
- If the price is lower than a standard DS game (
To answer the questions, a, b, c, and d,
a)Yes please, I would appreciate that.
b)I think it used to be in the arcades anyway?
c)Hmm, maybe the stylus could be used to slice, prod, burst the balls, just to add a new dimension, and maybe even blowing in the mic could be a special move which blows the balls away like balloons in a heated moment?
d)I'd like to see the original game included.
Thing is you have the game/story mode from the pang series (as well as Super Pang).
You have the maniac/panic mode which was on Super Pang (GREAT for high score battling and for two-four player battles.
A co-op maingame mode would be great fun I think.
Theres plenty that could be done to update the game, and I think that at a competitive price (
