[ Discussion ] Nintendo Wii Q4

Most of us here are going to pick one up but what're you actually going to pick up come launch? I already have a 1 GB SD Card that I can use to expand the internal flash memory of 512 MB so that gives me around 1.5 GB of internal flash memory. I'm hoping Nintendo throw two controllers in with every Wii but if this isn't the case I'll pick up an extra controller. If the Classic Controller isn't bundled with every Wii then I'll pick one of those up too. Hell, come Q4 I will be throwing as much money for a

Hardware

Come launch I'll be picking up a white Nintendo Wii, 4 white Wiimotes, Retro Controller and Gun thingy (if out on launch)

Software

Super Mario Galaxy, Wii Sports, Metroid Prime 3: Corruption, The Legend Of Zelda: Twilight Princess, Warioware: Smooth Moves, Red Steel, Sonic Wild Fire (is that a launch title..?)

This is a crazy amount of money for me to spend on games, but the Wii looks so damn good I know it will be worth it

Looks like I'm too weak to go through with the whole boycott thing.

I'll get a black console, an extra controller, a VGA adapter (there had better be one!!!) and a game, preferably an online one. The internal flash should be enough for a good while before I have to invest in a nice big SD card. I'll probably have to get a VC pad as well.

If I can't get every game however my personal favourites at the moment are looking like Twilight Princess, MP3, Mario Galaxy, Red Steel aaaaaand... Project HAMMER

I too am going to get an extra remote if there is only one, 2 classic controllers, WarioWare: Smooth Moves, Twilight Princess (I'll be buying this for the GameCube too), Wii Sports, maybe Red Steel and Mario Galaxy. If red is a release colour, then that will be my chosen one If not red, then black, failing that, white.

I will be picking up a wireless router too as I don't have one yet. I guess this will mean we'll have to buy a new TV too... the Wii will put a big dent in my wallet. lol.

On the suject of DS.Lite, I'll be getting one and giving my mum my DS more than likely. Plus the games me and my girlfriend want for the DS will put an even bigger dent in my wallet. I'm so going to be penniless for Christmas

It's a small memory stick that can be used in most mobile devices of today. I have one in my SPV M500 Smartphone/PDA and in other mobile phones you commonly get the smaller 'brother' of the SD Card that is a Mini SD, which is stupidly small. An SD Card is roughly the same height of a DS Game Card and 3/4 of the DS Game Card's length so it's quite small!

Well, looking reallistically at it, because I haven't got much money, I'll be getting a green unit (if at launch), I'm confident it'll be bundled with 2 remotes. If not I'll buy another control, flash memory will do for the time being, Twilight Princess and MP3 and wishful thinking Smash Bros will be ready in time for launch.

I'll probably look for some cheap memory off Ebay before getting the console as I'll no doubt go mad on the retro content. It's all fair in emulation, but nothing beats using a TV for some kick-ass classics.

I'm currently out of work and going on holiday in June so will probably be a leeetle bit strapped for cash. Hopefully though I can pick up some work before the end of the year is out!

Hardware
Console (black/white - don't care so much - white would make a difference to all the black and white hardware I have).

Retro pad - may get this, but I'm hoping you can use existing GC pads as an alternative.

Wii controllers - will definitely get a second set, always get a new console with extra pad, would be lonely otherwise!

Memory - off ebay. I have a 20Gb USB 2.0 hard-drive that's only used for backup and storing a few films at the moment, so will definitely come in handy if compatible.

Software

I'll be getting a Wii and Zelda 100%

If Mario Galaxy is avaliable on launch I won't be able to resist picking that up either.

Im leaning more towards a White Wii insted of a black Wii so it stands out, one or two extra wiimotes the light gun and a SD card wither 1 or 2 GB, and if they do support External hard drive i might get a nice cheap one.

Games: Red steel, Super Mario if avabile at lanch, Tony hawks downhill jam, Zelda TP, Wario Ware, Wii sports, Excite trucks, Disastor and if that Wii orchestra is out on lanch which i doubt. I think thats about it and I doubt I will have enough but thats what I am aiming for.

I thnk some of you are forgetting that games will cost 30-40 quid. Rich bastards

I ain't rich, just saved up alot of money over the years. Plus it will be released around my birthday/christmas.

I wouldn't want anything to draw me away from Zelda on 'Cube, so I'll go easy on the Wii when I first get it. Probably just stick to a pack in game.

I've got all my star points left over which I can spend on VC games .

I hope Nintendo will give you the chance to buy the console off them like you could of done with the DS.
