I would think that by this point it's pretty obvious what the best games for the DS are. Meteos, Advance Wars, Mario Kart DS, Animal Crossing: Wild World, Castlevania and Kirby, to mention just a few of the higher profile games.

Gods in His Heaven. Alls right in the World.

One that gets little love: Yoshi's Touch and Go

Mario Kart DS

How can I put this subtly...?

Grand Theft Auto: Liberty City Stories

If you like top down shooters like Ikaruga, then you need to get Nanostray. Decent title, and the international scoreboard is fun.

I hate Yoshi's Touch and Go, btw. It seems so boring and pointless and repetitive to me. I have never so strongly felt like I've wasted money.

Yoshi's Touch and Go

I hated it and traded it back within 1 week. It was incredibly short...

my favourites are Advance Wars & Mario Kart

I must admit, I've heard nothing but praise for Meteos and Kirby though! also think about Metroid Hunters if you live in america!

Trauma Centre: Under The Knife when it comes to the UK

Grand Theft Auto: Liberty City Stories

As self-appointed 'guy with the most DS games' (none of you have trumped me yet, dammit!) I must recommend the following:

- Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney (abso-bloody-lutely excellent)
- Animal Crossing: Wild World
- Mario Kart DS
- Kirby: Power Paintbrush
- Castlevania: Dawn Of Sorrow
- Trauma Centre: Under The Knife
- Advance Wars DS
- Meteos
- Pac-Pix if you can get it cheap
- Polarium if you can get it cheap
- Yoshi Touch 'n' Go if you can get it cheap

Mario and Luigi Partners in Time
This game is a recipe for brilliance, funny dialogue, great music and sublime gameplay.
Don't be put off by the similarity in graphics between the GBA version and the DS. They are similar, yes, but who gives a monkeys. The only difference is the backgrounds, and boy are they nice.
Anyway, I would opt for great 2D graphics over poor 3D graphics anyday (Splinter cell?).

The game lacks side quests of any sort, and the exploration is pretty linear. This drags it down, but only in comparison to Superstar Saga.
This is probarly one of, if not the best out on the DS at the moment.

Metroid Prime Pinball
This is sort of there to fill the horrible void between now and Metroid Hunters.

The game is surprisingly good, and really outdoes Mario Pinball in every department. Level design, music, sprites, enjoyability etc.
The levels are stretched across both screens and are taken straight from the Prime universe. Coupled with great music, for any Metroid fan it is like heaven.
Alhtough the 6 levels (I think) is a tad short, it has great replay value.

Not out yet, but will be within the next month or two if you can wait.

I would recommend:

Mario Kart DS
Nintendogs if you have yet to play it
Meteos
Super Mario 64 DS

Those are the ones that I enjoyed thoroughly and recommend.

I would advise personally against:

Feel The Magic/Project Rub - Launch title rush-job.
Polarium - Two game modes, both are dull.
Yoshi Touch and Go - Zero action
Super Monkey Ball Touch & Roll - Difficult to control and not fun.

PSN: shiptoncraig
Steam: Guess what?

Band Brothers (jap) - Genius game, amazing on multiplayer
Electroplankton (jap) - Genius and the worth it for the packaging alone.
Phoenix Wright - I cannot stress how good this game is, fun, humourous and engaging.
Polarium is worth a go if you find it cheap and like brain puzzles, otherwise id say wait for brain training.

Castlevania! Smilie

Band Brothers (jap)

When the feck is this getting released in english! Is it even still on NoAs website?

Mario Kart DS
Tony Hawk
WarioWare Touched
Super Mario 64 DS

Polarium is good but when nobody has the game or nobody pays attention to it it gets boring. i would give it a try though

Animal Crossing. it lasts for ever i got it 3 months ago and am still playing it .Smilie
