CAPCOM have responded to our "Okami 4 GameCube" Petition.

I e-mailed them 3 days ago and I have just checked inbox and they have replied to my e-mail.

Here is what they had to say about Okami for GameCube:

I am sorry to disappoint you, but Okami is currently planned as a PS2 game only. There are no plans at present to port it to any other consoles.

I purposely highlighted "present" as it could mean that although it doesn't come to GameCube it may come to Revolution.

A big thank you to everyone who has signed. Keep signing as now they know the petition exists they will pay more attention to it and consider even more a GameCube/ Revolution version.

You're determined, I give you that. It could actually make an interesting revolution game.

I wouldn't read too much into it, companies hate ruling things out completely. I'm impressed that you got a response though.

Kudos for trying, but problem is that there were quite a few morons in the petition that owuld have taken what little stock Capcom put in it.

I really want to see it turn up on Revolution. I pretty much bought a PS2 for this game.

I've edited the petition to include details of Capcom's reply. Keep posting. We have to show them we are serious about wanting this game for GameCube/ Revolution.

What Capcom really meant to say was "GamCube? HAR AR HARR ARR ARRRRRRRR!!". Or something like that.

No. Okami is PS2 only but there is rumour it may also be a Revolution launch title.

Seriously... If CAPCOM don't bring Okami to the Gamecube, or at least the Rev or DS I'm actually going to kill someone... They should have learned by now that PS2 owners don't appreciate Clover's awesome cell-shaded graphics... And a game where you use a paintbrush on occasion? It's just begging for a DS port...
