Behemoth, the people who made Alien Hominid announced a new game at Comic-con in San Diego, California. I found out about it on the Celisphere forums (the people working on Cerulean Dreams). The person there also posted a link to 1UP, who have some pictures of the game. I googled a bit and found out IGN ahve some info (it sounds right enough). Here's their article:
July 14, 2005 - Behemoth is single-handedly trying to revive 2D side-scrollers, one genre at a time. Last year's addictive, colorful, exuberant and wickedly funny side-scrolling shooter Alien Hominid (based on the mega-popular Flash game) proved that they are on their way to doing just that.We got an opportunity to check out an ultra-early version of their newest game, a (gasp!) side-scrolling medieval hack n' slash which currently does not have a name. As a placeholder, we'll refer to it as Ye Olde Sidescroller, or YOS, per Behemoth's suggestion. The game boasts the same signature art style of Alien Hominid, with quirky, hand-drawn graphics and a colorful palette. The four knight heroes are short and wacky, with bucket-style helmets on their heads.
Up to four players can tackle the game at once, slicing their way through a world populated with all manner of 2D baddies. Each knight is on a quest to save his respective princess (they are color-coded for easy differentiation), and players can navigate the overworld with a map similar to that of Super Mario Bros. 3. What's more, the plan is that each knight will have his own world to explore
