Thanks. It really is a good game.

The PSP has a hard on/off switch for wi-fi, afaik- thats the difference.
No it's not Martin mate, seriously, you are buying into the stupid hater shit a little.
You *could* "easily" select a mulitplayer game on the DS in the options, yes?
But please tell me what difference is from having a hard/physical switch?
Relatively speaking it's easier to hit one of the (absurdly) many face plate switches than it is choosing a menu option switch, at least the user has more chance of choosing an interface option than a hardware and open to accidentally hit switch.
The PSP and DS wifi options are as open/unreialible as each other, IMO the DS is less likely to be unsecure.
You have to chose to deliver a wifi mode through touch/choice - the PSP is a more open accidental switch. Maybe if it has a "confirm" option then it's level - but either way the DS is on par or better. And from where I stand in my sleep depraved seat that is pretty much fact.
[quote=Nintendo.com]Observe and follow all regulations and rules regarding the use of wireless devices in locations such as hospitals, airports, or onboard aircraft. In order to comply with airline regulations, do not use PictoChat, or play the multiplayer modes of DS games while on board an airplane. Operation in these locations may interfere with or cause malfunctions of equipment, with resulting injuries to persons or damage to property.
*whistles and blushes*
I was thinking in comparision to my PC. When I'm not using my wireless adaptor it can switch itself on, even after I've told it not to. A hard switch does stop that, though...
That ain't the case with the DS, it wont turn on unless in Multiplayer mode or pictochat, I'm pretty sure Nintendo made sure of that.
Great review, it makes me want to get this game as fast as possible. If it dosen't come out here soon, i actually might import one.
One thing about importing...We're not totally sure if an imported copy will work with a UK copy when it comes to wireless play...
Less in depth review:
First Power-On: 6/28/05 16:08 (EDT)
Time powered on: 8:48
Total Play Time: 7:00
Meteos launched: 50127
I love this game
You're allowed to use things like Walkmans and Gameboys but not when the plane is taking off or landing, isn't that right?
Yeah, I'm pretty sure thats how it works.

Yeah- no electronic stuff on taking off or landing, no mobiles at all, no wi-fi at all.
Isn't wi-fi just the internet anyway, eg, it hasn't actually launched yet, has it? Or is there a way to turn on wi-fi without actually playing?
tahts right your alowed to use them whilst in the air but not when the plane is takeing off or landing.
Good review by the way Xerou, will have to pick this game up. Anyone know the UK release date?
Can't wait for it!
too bad I don't like block games
Oh yea, there was a review in this thread wasn't there...Haha...

Topic got derailed, I thought it would be cool to have it focus on your work again.
Thanks, it was hard enough to put the game down long enough to write it.
So I hear, from guys who have played both Lumines and Meteos I hear Meteos wins hands down for a few, which is pretty awesome.
I've not yet played Lumines but I bet it is also an excellent game.
It is meant to be very addictive, I may just get a PSP just to play it. It looks awesome.
