kid icarus revolution?

i was looking over on IGN for what ever reason and i saw this bid on kid icarus.

IGNcube: Will you make Kid Icarus for Revolution?

Shigeru Miyamoto: Well, I'm actually working really closely right now with the director of the [original] game. Now, whether or not when we get the Revolution all set up and everything is finalized, well who knows? That might be one of those characters where everybody says, "Hey, with the way our console is designed, that would be a perfect match." My question to you is, if we made this game would you buy it?

IGNcube: Absolutely.

Shigeru Miyamoto: Well, we obviously can't ignore that. Okay, we'll get the Eggplant Wizard coming back.

i hope it does happen as i heard kid icarus was a realy good and hard game and i would like it to come out in full 3d on the revolution.

Ive heard about this for ages....but wot kind of game is kid icarus?

Before i originally read this(ages ago) id never even heard of it, so someone wanna tell us wot its all about

basicaly kid icarus ( pit ) is trying to stop medusa from ruleing the world and save this princess. he gets help from zues and its set back in ancient greece. the main storys something like that.

^ If they made it to be a really epic engrossing game. I'd be happy. I don't play enough of them as it is.

Didn't like the GB version

I don't think it's coming out or that it ever will. Sorry guys, but I'd take this as a rumour until it's been 100% confirmed.

man, i've been hearing all of you guys keep talking about this kid icarus game.

Anybody mind telling me what you do in this game.

I never played Kid Icarus. Judging by the NES game screenshots will it play like a Zelda game set in the sky?

Like Panzer Dragoon or Dead Phoenix?

Okay, frist up ignore the GB game. It was pure molten evil.

It is an odd game, there are 4 stages. The first 3 are divided into 4 sections, three normal sections and a fortress. Between each section there's a checkpoint. During this point your level score will be added to your total score which determins your level and your HP.

As for gameplay... umm... think Zelda crossed with Ghosts and Ghouls crossed with gauntlet and you're half way there.

Get a nes emulator and the rom and try it out your selves.

Or just try Balloon Duel for a flash version which stays pretty true to the core values.

Wouldnt he look a bit strange in todays modern gaming world. After all he does look like qupid which cause people to not buy the game. I heard from somewhere that the game plays like metroid.

It's.. kinda like metroid. But it's shorter, stage based and EXTREMELY hard.

Never played the title (that I can remember) but from what Hazuki says it sounds great.

Miyamoto's interview certainly states there is hope - every MUST download this and we'll get a new one

Oh it is a true classic. If you haven't played it hit ebay and search for a copy. Very hard though.

And never play the GB version....ever.

Ahh, my mistake. I can actually remember seeing shots of Kid Icarus now. Thought it was Balloon Fight, though....

Odd... I've never even heard of that title.
