Anyone care to fill me in on this?
I've seen one for (AUS) 80 dollars, and I'm thinking of getting it.
Is it worth it?

hmmm i dunno i dont really remember it having any spectacular games.
I've heard BEAM mention Sonic CD. Is that any good?
Yeah but that culd be arriving on Sonic mega collection2
Phht. Stuff Compilations. I like ridiedig's
Sonic CD is excellent yeh, but you can also get in on PC and as mentioned probably Sonic Mega Collection 2 eventually.
Never heard of any other decent games for it, but then again I never really looked into it, worth doing a bit of research before shelling out for it I would think.
I'd consider buying it merely to have it in my collection TBH, so I might end up going for it. I'll pick up a Commadore 64 for 50 bucks while I'm at it too!
If you can get it for really cheap, go for it. It had a few good games but it's not worth a lot. There's Sonic CD, Keio Flying Squadron (great anim
I got my Mega CD with three free games (all good fun), though I'm pretty sure I payed aboud $80 for it brand new...?
Snatcher.

Whore.
Anyway, this one comes standard with Sonic CD included, so that's good.
Its nice to have in your collection, especially if you've got the original MegaDrive and get the original Mega CD, it looks cool. You don't buy it for the games though, there aren't many good ones at all. Sonic CD is pretty good, I didn't think you could get that on PC, spy, but still you don't want to play Sonic on PC its not right. I'm not convinced that SMC2 will happen. Its not the best Sonic game but essential if you want to play them all, it introduced a few new ideas, so its pretty good for that. Other than that theres a couple of nice arcade compilations available, not really making the most of the hardware, but all games that were previously released on MegaDrive. You've got to get at least one FMV-based reaction game like Road Avenger, not because they're any good, but because its typical Mega CD.
Actually, I got four games: Jurassic Park, Road Avenger, Spider Man and Final Fight... It was a good deal for sure, and all of the games are very good.
Agree with you to an extent their Beam, Sonic on the PC just isn't the same, but I got given it, so wasn't going to turn it down :
I have a demo of that somewere its probably one of the worst 2D sonic games iv played.
See, I keep hearing mixed reviews about Sonic CD! Odd.
Don't listen blizz. Sonic CD is absolutely fantastic.
well i suggest downloading a demo of it first or somthin
That won't give the true feeling of it though. It's not meant to be played on a PC, it's meant to be played on a games console with a control pad. You'll be able to get it cheap anyway, and it can be judged since it's coming with the Mega CD itself.
I played it on a PC with a controle pad. It just fels very cheaply made like some homebrew game.
It's probably because it's a port on the PC, it feels really good on the Mega CD to me.
You've convinced me Mason!
Just get it already, blizzard, even the worst of the 2D sonic games is great, then at least you can make up your own mind.
Take it from me, Sonic CD is kicks ass.
You need it in your collection, be that on the Mega CD or SMC2. Don't get it for PC though, doesn't feel right like some have already stated.

Excellent. It's been a pleasure.
