Had been trying to work out how to put dvds onto PSP when I came across this simple video that takes you step by step and shows you exatly what software you need, and how to use it, (with the PSP in mind). I tried it with Monsters Inc. and it worked first time. Very easy to follow. Especially good for someone like me with limited pc knowledge/expertise. File came to 450MB. Which was lucky as my Sandisk 512MB card only holds 467MB in reality.

My DS code for 42 classic games is 5026 2806 4140. Looking for people to play Rummy with. Feel free to PM your code. Also, anyone can add my Wii code if they like, PM me with yours too.

That video is excellent, really simplifies the whole process. I'm going to send a link to my friend with a PSP who has been trying to find out how to do this for awhile now.

But to me, the whole thing still seems far to complex. If I was to buy the Evolution or any other handheld for that matter, and it was capable of these things, I'd want it to be far easier than that process.

Thanks very much, all the same.

It takes 5 mins or less to set up the parameters for ripping the dvd. Setting up the Video 9 settings takes about 1-2 mins. Plus once you've set up the 2 peieces of software there's no need to set it up everytime. Then it's little mope hassle than ripping cds. Just do a whole load in one go.

Ripping the dvd takes 15 mins. The only legnthy process is converting the dvd file into .mp4. This takes 1-3 hrs depending on quality level set, and is best left overnight. However, you can queue priogrammes to have 3/4 done by morning. Copying to PSP mem stick takes 3 mins or so. If I can do it and find it easy, (and I have no patience where pcs are concerned), then anyone can.

Once you have converted your favourite dvds onto your pc, then the hassle is out of the way. When you want to be able to watch a dvd on your PSP, all you have to do is take 5 mins or less to transfer. Easily quick enough to do on a daily basis without it becoming a chore.

Good. Excellent on higher quality modes. I reckon for films up to 2hrs roughly, a Sony 512MB card would be sufficient. Play.com are seling them from today for
