Review number whatever-the-hell-number-it-is now then, and I've picked a Virtual Console gem that I am ashamed to say I discovered about 18 years too late (when taking into account that in 1986 I didn't even exist). With any luck this little review might persuade some of you retro fans to give it a whirl.

Made primarily for the Japanese Arcades in 1986, Tecmo saw fit to release a version of Solomon's Key for the NES in 1987. Renowned as one of the more difficult titles available for the platform, S.K introduced new Puzzle concepts, effectively becoming a game of its own genre due to these elements scarcely being seen elsewhere.
