NoWay Studio Reveals New C.O.R.E Screens

By Jorge Ba-oh 03.02.2008 9

NoWay Studio has revealed some slick new screens from the upcoming DS first person shooter, C.O.R.E.

C.O.R.E features 14 non-linear levels for plenty of exploration with 20 different creatures to take out using an array of 8 weapons. When the solo action becomes stale players can go up against others in 3 multiplayer modes with single or multi cart options.

Graphically, as seen through the impressive shots below, C.O.R.E runs off a custom engine for the DS, packed to the brim with real-time lighting, a day/night system and various effects to dazzle your eyes on the move.

Thanks to NeoGAF for the tip.

Wow - Those screens are tiny - but it looks awesome! Reminds me of Doom.

Avoid Games Like the Plague, productivity++

I remember this game waaay back when they announced it. Looked pretty nice then too - hopefully it turns out decent. The DS could always use some more good shooters.

Can't really tell from screens, especially ones as small as those, but it does look good. Have to keep an eye out on this, see if it gets better, or see some vids even.Smilie

Actually they look like Doom 2. And that was a trazillion years ago. I hope this game succeeds, but why do I have to spend a lot of money on a DS-shooter lies in the gameplay, not in the graphics.
By the way: Make a good shooter for Wii! Red Steel had great graphics but lacked some in gameplay. It was a bit too railway-shooting and a bit too stupid.

I find your lack of faith disturbing!

THe screens look brilliant. and i'm glad the DS is getting another shooter. Noway studio should make a FPS for the Wii, maybe then the Wii would have a decent shooter.

I noticed there isn't a publisher for this yet, hope this gets one soon.

The DS is fantastic for FPS, if companys pull of as fluid and as fast controlls as Metroid Hunters.

oh, and the graphics on this are far better then Doom2.
(gezz...whats with your memorys guys? Doom2 looks like this;

Dosnt even have 3D models.

This is somewhere between Doom64 (which did have 3d models) and Golden Eye.

Yeah, I was thinking the same thing as well. Nintendo desperately needs more companies making online components - for both the DS and the Wii.

Don't care about online, so long a there's decent single cart multiplayer. Smilie Those screens look pretty nice, the DS really needs more FPSs...very suprised there hasn't been a flood of them since MPH showed how well it works...
