For those interested, here is a summary of the Final Fantasy IV review, courtesy of duckroll over on NeoGAF.com:

  • Changes are on a massively different scale than the GBA port;
  • 3D reworking makes it seem almost a different game;
  • Lower-screen map is very easy to read;
  • Upgrades in the event direction are great;
  • Variety introduced in upgrading characters through the 'Decant Ability' is really good;
  • New episodes added, but the main plot is roughly the same;
  • Auto-Battle makes combat simple;
  • Change of viewpoint for boss battles increases the effect;
  • "Portica"-raising minigames are also on there.

Sounds great!

That Patapon game on the PSP looks cool, I love the art style and concept. I am sold on FF4, but then I was a while ago.

For those that haven't already seen it, check out this intro video for FFIV. It looks absolutely stunning! Smilie

Personally I'm intrigued by Intelligent Systems's Card Hero, since it seems it's much better than the original. Hopefully Nintendo will release this one abroad this time!

Hmm... I don't trust Famitsu too much anymore though. I mean I'd take it the new Naruto game on PS2 is good, but 1 point below FFIV? Please... Smilie

Famitsu tend to just score anime games well because that's what sells...

If it's a lot more balanced than FF III (that shit was fucking brutal) it's a definite yes for me.

Kousoku Card Battle: Card Hero ?_?

any way >_< roll on ff4

SL, Famitsu is renowned for being paid to hand out impressive reviews (from what several reports state). However, it's still interesting to see the scores at the end of the day...
