Nintendo Wii/DS News | Geometry Wars Begin in 2008

By Mike Mason 13.11.2007 4

Vivendi have announced that Geometry Wars: Galaxies, the first outing of the series on Wii and DS, has been delayed to 2008 for the UK from its expected date in December. The games will now launch on January 18th 2008.

Geometry Wars: Galaxies features bunches of new enemies, planets and a more comprehensive single player mode over the original Xbox Live Arcade title. A multiplayer mode allows players to battle amongst each other, too. In addition, the Wii version allows you to link up a DS and download Geometry Wars: Retro Evolved to play on the go, making it amongst the first titles to make use of the Wii/DS link-up mode.

Again not complaining, makes more time and money available during this ludicrous season.

Is the delay only in the UK or will the US feel the sting as well?

    And Europe?

hmmm... I wonder if they all get cold feet to bust against the strong Nintendo lineup, against Guitar Hero and stuff...

But I do not complain. But... Am I the only one thinking 40 EUR for a bit of an X-bla... no XBLA-title costing only... 5-10 EUR back then is a bit harsh? It's a small game after all!

I find your lack of faith disturbing!

I am finding the Wii version very tempting, I have seen a few gameplay demonstrations on another site and it looks great.

This is the first I have heard about DS compatibility!, why the developers would choose not to mention that is crazy.
