Industry News | Eidos Lands in Walford

Eidos has acquired the rights to one of the UK's best loved TV soaps, Eastenders, bringing the heart of the London's East-End to the gaming world. Somehow.

MCV reports that Eidos' casual department is handling the game's development, also producing various DS and Mobile titles.

No platform/gameplay details are currently known, but a Sims-style or quiz game is speculated.

This wont be interesting. The soap itself gives a bad image of the East end already, whats the game gonna do. ANd jb it's the east end not the west end.

"Eastenders : THE QUIZ" or some other such rubbish.

Cant stand soaps personaly, but a game based around making a soap, kinda a tv-management sim could be quite interesting.
(after all, the shear volume and speed of production is very impressive)

Is there any soap covering the real world, Stupot?

So what the heck, now UK gets the garbage Germany had with it's games about it's soaps like Verliebt in Berlin and Gut Zeiten Schlechte Zeiten. I do feel sorry for you, thou... Poor UK!

And I think I sigh in advance, since this trash will surely come to Wii. Lucky us!
