Nintendo Wii Media | Medal of Honor: Heroes 2 Trailer

By Jorge Ba-oh 18.09.2007 16

A funky new trailer for the Wii's first online FPS multiplayer, EA's Medal of Honor: Heroes 2, leads players into a world of war once more. Fancy dueling with up to 32 players online?

Update: A few new details on the game's online play have surfaced, thanks to Codename Revolution:

  • EA originally considered split-screen, but opted for online multiplayer instead.
  • The system will feature "continuous joining" to allow players to drop in and out of sessions without having to wait for new ones to become available.
  • Modes: Deathmatch, team deathmatch, capture the flag.
  • Friend codes not required as EA will play host to the multiplayer mode.
  • The game runs at 60fps and includes a campaign and on-rails mode.

Stay tuned for more media updates...

Even better controls than Metroid by some accounts. I am looking foward to this greatly, it may not have the graphical output some would hope for but it does look to be like great fun. I am really enjoying Airbourne at the moment and this seems to have taken some elements of that game.

Really like the look of this - visuals in motion aren't too bad, control seems pretty solid too. 32p online? Fan-bloody-tastic!

    Me likes it.

This is great im just not sure about the controls, the last medal of honor on the wii controls sucked, hope they dont ruin for this one.

Have you not read any of the previews, the controls are excellent by all accounts, best so far, not perfect but supposedly the best.

    Interview-

they did say on that zelda crossbow game new about it having 32 players online good to see it

Looks all great and everything but...I just don't know if I can handle another WW2 themed shooter.

32 player online sounds fantastic. They just need to get a mic up for it so that people can actually communicate.

But as Shinks has said, the previews I have read love the controls. Even putting them on the level of Metroid Prime 3.

wow 32 players... i see ... a C3 clan in the making Smilie

32 players is a reality then? Well to me, it sounds like Wii Online may finally get a little more interesting. More games like this that I'll actually want to buy kthanks.

Wow! This actually could be very good! But then again...Boogie looked great as well.

I won't get this regardless, I am bored to death of traditional WW games.

Sweet you can just enter in and out. Just like Resistance which I still regard as one of my favorite online FPS. And thank GOD for EA NATION!!!!

    Online = sounds GREAT!

No FC, continuous joining all on 60fps. Awesome.

Only complaint is the lack of modes.
