Any Star Ocean, new or old would be great! Love the series.

I just bought Star ocean : Till the end of time for 18$ or there abouts, looks like a pretty good game. And a remake of the first would be quite a croudpleaser.

What is it?

A JRPG.

It's going to be shit and you jolly well know it.

A JRPG with a very good combat system, one of the better ones out there. Great game but there's a lot of room for fine tuning which would make it a fantastic game.

I love JRPGs, but don't know anything about this series. Can anyone give me some specifics?

Screwing the rules since 1989.

Star Ocean:TTOT was released on the PS2 a few years back. A good RPG, mixes up fantasy with sci-fi, the story and dialogue are good for the majority but it looses momentum halfway through before getting a second wind.

The combat system is real time but played out over a small arena in a slightly off birds eye view. Combats fast paced and well controlled and there's plenty of unlockables attached to it through fight criteria.

So it's like Tales?? I'm up for it then.

I hope for a sequal to Vagrant Story! Smilie

From what I can remember the current FF games are based in the same area as Vagrant Story.

Check out my review of Star Ocean from the SNES for more info on the original (rather like Tales of Phantasia...because both were by the same team originally!): http://www.cubed3.com/review/322/ Smilie
