When Disney announced that its gaming division would be bringing a brand new franchise to the Nintendo DS and then attempting to build something much bigger around that, it seemed like a big risk. But Spectrobes has already proved a massive success around the world.

Pokemon wasn't out before...till now. I doubt Spectrobes will do as well.

True. I was gonna buy this game then realised I could just import Pokemon now instead... my girlfriend got it though, so I know at some point I will Smilie

Disney has done very well with this, I reckon (despite it failing in Japan). The US and European sales alone will have lifted it up...and that's definitely been helped by the clever use of the Wi-Fi Connection and continued promotional work.

Spectrobes 2 is a no-brainer...the question is whether this will continue to remain a Nintendo exclusive and eventually come to Wii.

Nintendo had this game up on the Stars Catalogue the other day for 5000 stars. Not worth my stars though. Saving them for Wii points.Smilie

It deserves a bit of attention, being a Disney game which isn't a film spin-off and therefore isn't automatically on the same amusement level as poking excrement with a stick. Not that much though - there were still problems with it, although different ones from the [i]Pok

yeah same here, this is a surprise... i dont think alot of people expected this game to sell very well!

I see all these people insulting the Nintendo corporation because of the lack of mature content. Yet there is something about Nintendo (at least their games) that strikes a certain unadulterated feeling of joy!!!  Pokemon Y - 1048-9263-5562

I have to admit that it looks very tempting. I really liked the videos that came on an NGamer disc (promotional I assume - 3 part). I am very likely to get it.
