Looks fairly good, but quite tacky at the same time.

I know developers can save a lot of costs by using old material and rehashing it for Wii, a lot of it is done already and it just needs to be tuned up for the system, but they should really spend the resources making less ports and one big, Wii specific title. It'll take longer, naturally, but in the end it would pay off having a proper Wii title than a bunch of ports.

I predict sales for this would be a bit pants, and there'd be two paths for the Ubi to take -

1) Realise that ports aren't typically well received and build a new game ground up. Or,

2) Blame the system for the flop and gradually dissolve support for it.

I think the GameCube suffered because of number two, developers ported to it and due to not so hot sales decided to quit wasting resources on the system. With Wii it seems like it's likely to be 1, whereby developers will want to push projects for the system because of an increasingly healthy outlook for the machine and a strong userbase.

I still say everyone EVERYONE that posted here that dosnt own it, should get the gamecube version.

This version looks to add nothing whatsoever, and the controlls added at the last minute might even take away from the expirence.

Pop: The Two Thrones was one of the best games of last year.

Essiential purchase, imo.
(as well as Sands of Time, but forget the "other" one*shudder*)

"Exact movements wouldn't work in Zelda anyway"

Dissagree.
Zelda controlls were Ace, but exact controlls could do so much more.

Especialy if it wasnt just for fighting.
eg.
Use your sword to carve runes into the ground or walls.

Different runes do different spells.

I don't plan on getting any PoP titles, Sands of Time was awesome, but that was also the best one, so it's not really enough to make me want any other games from the series.

I've decided I hate the way games have been going as of late, it's been especially noticable on Nintendo consoles, which is a huge shame, as they seemed to have been turning a new leaf for the better with Wii & DS. The great thing about GC, is that it had SO MANY quality 1st title games that were in a legue of their own. After seeing the review scores for the new Wario game on DS, I've realised that maybe Nintendo just aren't trying hard enough anymore since they became more popular.... The average scores are disappointingly low, since I love the Wario series. It's been said before here on C3, but the quality of games on Nintendo platforms has gone down, you could say. Of course fanboys like ONM would never admit it, but games aren't as good as they were in the GC days.

Ahh... I'm probably just getting ahead of myself though, the Wii has been out for 3 months & I've immesnly enjoyed it, & the DS is a great console at times, it's just that when I see games like Wario Master of Disguise, & then there's the worry that Mario Galaxy could turn out to not be the game we've been waiting for... Nintendo really need to work harder at more games, that are better. Know what I mean?

Sorry for that random rant, needed to get it off my chest somewhere or another, but it's become apparant that consoles like Wii & DS have a truckload of games with absolutely no effort put into them. For Wii, Ubisoft is the main culprit.

UbiSoft's problem is that they want the biggest market share possible. Look at the amount of games they have released and have coming towards Q2, and you'll see they are going for quantity over quality.

& also going for making a lot of people hate them very much.

How do you know it was the best?

Imo, TTT is the best.

Sands had the best story, but The Two Thrones is much longer yet just as fun.
And, unlike Warrior Within, it also had a really nice story and acting.
Anyone that enjoyed sands would love The Two Thrones, imo.

It just takes everything so much further.
You dont have the endless reswpawning enemies that Sands of time did either.

Fair enough, I might try it out sometime if I ever get the chance, but I don't plan on buying it unless it's good enough, maybe borrow it if I ever get the chance.
