Nintendo Media | Prince of Persia Controls Trailer (Wii)

By Jorge Ba-oh 24.01.2007 9

Ubisoft have revealed the first footage from the upcoming Wiiport, Prince of Persia: Rival Swords, as the split personality prince returns, armed with a trusty Wii-remote and nunchuck for massive damage.

Rival Swords is a port of the 2005 hit Prince of Persia: The Two Thrones, bringing the Wii-remote and nunchuck into play to act as various weapon and movement controls for the prince as illustrated in the first trailer, courtesy to GameVideos:

Nope, does nothing for me *checks again* not even the same effect as seeing an ugly girl with HUGE tits, ah well better luck next time Ubi, wait heres an idea make another few ORIGINAL games for the Wii *gasp* blasphemy?

edit: Why bother with a $60(CND) game when you can get it in a Walmart bargain bin for $10 NEW on the GCN.

Also those controls do look a bit sloppy considering PoP needs great precision to do some of the crazier stuff later in the game.
Now if this were God of War on the Wii!!!!! Now THAT would fit PERFECTLY very few jumping spots mainly an insane button masher with some skill/combos mixed in.

Im very dissapointed in Ubisoft for so many cheap ports.
Red Steal is a great effort, especialy for a release game.
But everything else, includeing rayman, has been dissapointing, shallow and kinda a cashin.

No one that hasnt got TwoThrones should be critising.

POP:TheTwoThrones is an utterly fantastic game. A hundred fold better then Warrior Within.

I was eagly awaiting a new game.
But for those that dont have TTT, I guess you could catch up!

I second that, despite the erractic reticule problem Red Steel was a fantastic launch game with an original storyline and and if you had component cables or an RGB lead (and plugged it directly into your telly) you get really feel the awesomeness of the visuals.

I never played POP TTT
but the graphics on the GC version rocked so if Wii functionality does improve an already great game some what, depending on how much it's sold for, I just might pick this one up.

This might turn out alright, but I'm really disappointed that it's just a port rather than an all new game. The controls could be good, but it looks like loads of the actions are performed with similar motions...could get confusing.

Yes, the graphics for the PoP games on the gamecube were some of the most impressive the system had.

Some of the rooms have amazinging detail vs draw distance.

I dont think they can really demo the controlls in a video, however.
You cant really get an idea of this sort of thing till you play.

Aww man, this is the game I've compelted, I was hoping it was the other PoP title (I'm rubbish with their names).

No sale for me then. Smilie

Darkflame the graphics in the PoP games weren't good... They were good for a PS2 game, because the game looked the same on all systems... The only thing it had going for it was draw distance, which was very good admittedly. That's not hard when you have average looking models though.

Aaah... What would we do without Ubisoft...
