Quick News: According to posts on the Official Nintendo Boards, the March edition of Nintendo power details two upcoming SNES classics for Wii's Virtual Console service in the US: Donkey Kong Country and The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past. With the two being undoubtedly some of the best entries in both franchises it's likely that we'll be seeing some Zelda and Donkey Kong action soon.

I downloaded Dk Country, love it i have completed it once on the VC, 3 times on the GBA and about 10 times on the SNES.

I think it's safe to say i love the big ape.

The music on DKC is great Smilie

I don't know why but im just dissapointed by the VC array of games. Maybe by the end of this year it will be good. But if you ask me, its a real let down

A Link to the Past is an instant download for me, definitely up there in the Zelda top 3.

But we've already got Donkey Kong Country in Europe! I'm just wondering when Donkey Kong Country 2's due. Whilst I loved DKC, I loved DKC2 more.

Get a move on with Diddy Kong Racing, too!

Diddy Kong racing won't be on the VC. The fact that Conker and Banjo are in it makes it nigh-on impossible to get the game onto Wii unless they were just removed and replaced with other characers, at which point it would turn into Diddy Kong Racing DS, which is being sold at

When is A Link To The Past beign released in Europe.

Already got them on my PC.

If I am ever able to find a Wii, DKC will be my first download. I've got Zelda: A Link to the Past for GBA which I have yet to complete due to the high difficulty.

God yes, dreamy! The water rounds are the highlight for sure!!

And count me among those who are gagging for DK Country 2!! The levels and music on that game blow this one outta the water!

I hafta say I REALLY need to get my hand on some classic controllers...the GC controller button layout is not good for this at all.

Aye, the classic controller does seem pretty good for this - I may purchase one if I can get it on the cheap Smilie

Oni, ever head the phrase "flogging a dead horse"? It really applies to your post on this thread.

The horse isn't dead, it's just that people are ignoring it in favour of another horse. One which is much shinier and more expensive...
