Nintendo Wii Media | Inside The Box

By Phil Beveridge 01.11.2006 20

Many of us here are going to be looking forward to receiving their Wii console at launch on December 8th, or under the Christmas tree later in the month. We all know how important actually taking the console out the box and packaging for the first time is, knowing that it's the start of something special. Well, it looks like Nintendo believe in first impressions with your new console, and have made the inside packaging extra-special for us gamers who like everything to be perfect.

The staff of Atomix, a popular video game magazine in Mexico and Latin America, have somehow managed to get their mitts on a final Nintendo Wii system, originally heading for the stores of Japan for their December 2nd launch. So naturally, they started taking photos! Here at Cubed3, we think the interior looks rather swish, and also strangely similar to the packaging style of a famous MP3 manufacturer...

We'll let you savour these photographs. Enjoy!

That's the japanese packaging, I doubt ours will be that snazzy.

Everything's packed like that in Japan.

It's going to be shit and you jolly well know it.

i hope our package will also be like that, absolutly hot!

Looks nice, but what's with the 1 & 2 thing?

Number 1 has a hole to pull it out with, which gives access to number 2. It's pointless/logical.

notice that there is no nunchuk to be seen, do the japanese have to buy it seperately?

Very good point - I'd have thought it were included, very strange. Maybe they packaged it separarely, could explain the price point in Japan.

If they did, that'd be pretty SmilieSmilie...Nintendo NEEDS to do something as simple as that. Smilie

Check that pic, and check the 1 and 2 cases. They include different pieces of the package, and the nunchuck is clearly displayed thereSmilie

Look at the fourth pic - the Numchuck is the thing in the bottom box closes to the white 360 pad.

You can see it unpacked in the last pic too.Smilie

Yep it's definitely there...

Gods in His Heaven. Alls right in the World.

Okay, okay, no need to post boost! Smilie
