Horror! Captain Tsubasa still not being buried! This anime is enourmosly big brown mass of ...you know what I mean.

I find your lack of faith disturbing!

Out of those 30, only NSB and Tingle RPG interest me. Can't say the Japanese have better taste in games than for example, Europeans.

Another week and still all is good in the land of the rising sun. I cant wait to see the chirstmas sales they should rock.

Reentry for pokemon emerald...provoked by the DS sequals?

Pokemon Emerald has been in the top 30 for a couple of weeks, don't quote me.

I think there is about 5 new DS titles released next week.

Custom Robo has got of to a decent start similiar to the GameCube version opening week let's just hope the it follows along with the super legs of DS games.

Mike Gee of iZINE said, "...The Verve, as he [Richard Ashcroft] promised, had become the greatest band in the world. Most of the critics agreed with him. Most paid due homage. The Verve were no longer the question mark or the clich. They were the statement and the definition."

Smilie hooray Nintey are the dogs bollox! Smilie Smilie

One question does anyone have Emerald, is it worth buying i have Ruby!?!?

I see all these people insulting the Nintendo corporation because of the lack of mature content. Yet there is something about Nintendo (at least their games) that strikes a certain unadulterated feeling of joy!!!  Pokemon Y - 1048-9263-5562

17 DS
3 GBA
20 Nintendo

7 PS2
3 PSP
10 Sony

About 3 more weeks before pokemon (combined) reaches the 3 million mark?

The 3 "DS picture books never entered the charts I see...Smilie

And the huge (probably) common sense training next week!!! Along with the budget version of phoenix wrights 2, Tales of tempest and negima.

Then Kirby (yay)the week after!!!!

Hardware sales
1. DS Lite - 116,941
2. PS2 - 22,380
3. PSP - 20,271
4. GBA SP - 2,421
5. GB Micro - 1,660
6. Xbox 360 - 1,287
7. Cube - 638
8. DS - 130
9. GBA - 12
10. Xbox - 6

Another solid week for the DS a per usual 28 titles are on the DS in the top 50.

First Days Sales
(unconfirmed)
NDS Otona no Joushikiryoku Training DS - 70.000
NDS Tales of the Tempest - 60.000 (30%)
PS2 Jojo's Bizzare Adventure: Phantom Blood - (no numbers, some sellouts, good %)
PS2 Utoyoyaku - 50.000
PSP Ace Combat X Skies of Deception - 30.000
NDS Gyakuten Saiban 2 The Best - 20.000
PS2 Ryu ga Gotoku The Best - 20.000

Quite a decent sart for Phoenix Wright 2 with 20k, but it looks like Namco only shipped 200k of Tales maybe worried that it wouldn't be bought due to the quality issues. As for Common Sense Training a poor start with 70k considering Raz said it had over 1m preorders.....did Nintendo undersetimate it.

NDS Otona no Joushikiryoku Training DS - 70.000

Is that it?
Its the sequal to brain training...

NDS Tales of the Tempest - 60.000 (30%)

So the name makes it sell well after okayish reviews?

Here are more accurate first day sales:

  • DS Common Knowledge Training - 75,000(16% sell-through)
  • DS Tales of the Tempest - 59,000 (32%)
  • PS2 Utoyoyaku - 40,000 (70%)
  • PSP Ace Combat X Skies of Deception - 30,000 (60%)
  • PS2 Jojo's Bizzare Adventure: Phantom Blood - 24,000 (40%)
  • PS2 Ryu ga Gotoku The Best - 15,000 (35%)
  • DS Phoenix Wright 2 (Budget) - 13,000 (30%)
  • PSP Shinobido Homura - 2,500 (25%)
  • I've played two hours of TotT now and it's nowhere near as bad as Famitsu's rating would have you believe.

Great music, impressive visuals, excellent touch-screen control and the usual manic battles, except without as many annoying random fights as before. Definitely has me gripped right now...

As usual. Now let's see this happen in USA and then I'll be REALLY shocked.

Thats a completely fair point. Completely. Just wait for Wii then you'll be "shocked". Smilie

Pheonix Wright didn't really get of to the start that the original did on the DS.

Common Sense Training you can't help but feel a little underwhelmed since it had 1m pre orders.

Kirby and PES next week for the DS.

Mike Gee of iZINE said, "...The Verve, as he [Richard Ashcroft] promised, had become the greatest band in the world. Most of the critics agreed with him. Most paid due homage. The Verve were no longer the question mark or the clich. They were the statement and the definition."

Common Knowledge Training has a million retailer pre-orders, meaning Nintendo will ship that amount minimum to retailers asap.

Gyakuten Saiban 2 was released on the GBA and even re-released on the format in budget form, so 20,000 on day one is no mean feat considering there are NO extras included.

Kirby should do 300,000 and PES maybe 250,000...let's hope I'm not far off (unless they totally out-strip my predicitions, in which case it'll be a positive thing!).

I'll keep my eye on that...if you're right at all, I'll give you all of my stars for that particular week. (And lets face it, being a mod kinda negates the joy of star getting, so this is my loss really.)

I am hoping PES for the Ds does well oor we can wave good bye to a sequel.

On the topic of PESDS has it been confirmed for Nov. 10th or has it slipped to next year.

I think phoenix wright is a re-release a s a budget which is why itwouldn't do so well.

An common sense training costs 1,000yen more than the other 2SmilieSmilieSmilieSmilie

Which is why people might not have bought it.

75,000 would still be 3rd in this weeks charts and thats only day 1 sales. The brain training games are always slow but endlessly in the charts. (compared to like FF which sells tons then dissapears off the charts quickly)
