Nintendo DS News | Level 5 Confirms New Game!

By Adam Riley 11.10.2006 13

Over in Tokyo, Japan today, the president of Level 5 has announced that the company most known for working on Sony systems (Dark Cloud, Jeanne d'Arc, White Knight Story, Dragon Quest VIII, Rogue Galaxy) is set to publish its own title for the first time ever...on the Nintendo DS!

The game is called 'Professor Reiton & the Mysterious Village' and focuses on the British Professor and his young assistant Luke working together to solve various puzzles in what has been described as a 'heart-warming atmosphere'. Hino himself will be taking on the role of producer and head of planning for the game, whilst the directing supervisor will be Akira Tago, an author of best-selling series of brain teasing puzzles in Japan.

Thanks to duckroll of NeoGAF for the tip.

wow, sounds very good.
But I would like to have these lots of announcements been made for Wii.

Imagine an Adventure on Wii. very classical, very Lucasarts-like...
I think this title may be some adventureous game, maybe RPG/Action?

I find your lack of faith disturbing!

Good to see more developers making more and more games for Nintendo systems. Hopefully eventually Level 5 will bring White Knight Story over to Wii and then I'll have no reason to buy a PS3.Smilie

I need that game!

*jumps to Exalead to learn more of White Knight Story*

Good news.

What is this White Knight Story?

It's an RPG in develpoment for the PS3, made by Level 5

This was the video shown at TGS

Looks to have alot of potential

Avoid Games Like the Plague, productivity++

Good deal.

Gods in His Heaven. Alls right in the World.

hmmm i doubt it will be very good!?!?!

I see all these people insulting the Nintendo corporation because of the lack of mature content. Yet there is something about Nintendo (at least their games) that strikes a certain unadulterated feeling of joy!!!  Pokemon Y - 1048-9263-5562

I think its the fact that it involves a professor and some puzzling. Smilie

I'm not really (it took me so long to spell that right...you had to be here) bothered about this game, but again it is nice to see that more people are jumping on board the Ninty bandwagon...

Have Level 5 done games on any other console/PC at all, ever?

Is this going to be like Contact?

No, this is going to be more like Monkey Island and Broken Sword, in that it is a true adventure game, but with the puzzles provided by a top author!

Looks extremely stylish as well...
