Nintendo News | Hudson Announce Wii 8

By Jorge Ba-oh 16.09.2006 16

According to Hudson's Official Site, the company are set to bring a selection of titles to the Wii towards the end of the year, and into early 2007.

From Bomerman to Crossword, Fishing to Flying Action, there's an interesting selection to check out.

  • Wing Island (Working Title, Wii Launch)
  • Korinpa (Wii Launch)
  • Sudoku (December 2006)
  • Fishing Master (Working Title, December 2006)
  • Batinda (Feb 2007)
  • Crossword (March 2007)
  • Jigsaw Puzzle (March 2007)
  • Bomberman Land (Working Title, March 2007)

Wing Island and Korinpa both hit the Wii at its December launch in Japan this year, whilst the other six follow in Q1 2007. Certainly a good selection of games from Hudson in the next 6 months.

Smilie Oh yes, another Sudoko, Crossword and jigsaw game which I can get out of the newspaper.

Wing Island: "This is a flight action game with 27 different missions to play with solo plane or five planes in formation. In it's vs. mode, the Nunchuk controller can be used as the 2P controller, so no need to purchase another controller to compete."

Wow, i think a few other games will use the nunchuk like that and most won't but it's still a good idea.

Silence is the loudest noise we could possibly hear.

Niiice, good to hear its fun too, I read some Hands-On over at IGN, looking like a swish title. Smilie

    Bomberman has been delayed! Smilie

Oh well, here's hoping it will now include an Adventure mode & battle mode instead of all the mini-games we saw before Smilie

Give us a new adventure island god damnit!!!

    Hopefully this'll be Japan only.

I thought crosswords didn't work in Japan because of the way the language works?

I see no reason why they can't bundle Sudoku, Crossword and Jigsaw puzzles together, however Smilie

Hudson are owned by Konami right?

Hopefully if these titles go down well Konami will bring more games to the Wii

Mike Gee of iZINE said, "...The Verve, as he [Richard Ashcroft] promised, had become the greatest band in the world. Most of the critics agreed with him. Most paid due homage. The Verve were no longer the question mark or the clich. They were the statement and the definition."

Hiragana? I think hiragana works, maybe its chinese characters that you are implying?

I've no idea, maybe it is.

I just remember someone telling me that Sudoku was really successful in Japan because they didn't have crosswords.

Yeah, & it's a bad thing, because until Konami bought Hudson, they were like a 2nd party to Nintendo, now I can see more Bomberman games like the 360 one popping up.

a PROPER Bomberman game on PS3.... I shudder at the thought Smilie

Hopefully Konami owning Hudson now won't have a difference on how close Hudson is to Nintendo....

    Most of those are rubbish.

Where is Adventure Island? Also Bonk's Adventure.

How much will Genesis and TurbografX-16 games cost? $8?
