Electronic Gaming Monthly (EGM) has released its latest issue over in America, the October 2006 edition. Its popular rumour column offers some interesting speculation as usual.
On the Nintendo front, it is being said that Wii Sports will include over 30 games - a far leap from the 3 we have seen on display up until now. Square-Enix may be ploughing even more onto DS with the announcement of a Final Fantasy XIII spin-off strategy RPG on the system, and a sequel to Rez may be appearing on either Playstation 3 or...Wii!
Moving on to other companies, Sony are one of the main subjects of the talk this month. It is thought that a few major third parties will be dropping PSP support, likely as a result of DS' handheld market grip growing. On the positive side for Sony, they may have 'persuaded' Capcom to create Resident Evil 5 exclusively for Playstation 3 - as well as a sequel to Xbox 360 title Dead Rising. On the note of Capcom, Street Fighter IV is rumoured to be released in 2007.
Finally, it is said that EA are developing a survival horror title for next generation consoles, though there have been no specifics mentioned.
Stick with C3 to find out if any of these rumours come true!
