Sega previously announced that they're bringing their iconic mascot in his original guise to the GBA in Sonic The Hedgehog Genesis as part of the hedgehog's 15th birthday celebrations. Read on to see how the blue wonder is shaping up on Nintendo's handheld.
In 1991 Sega gave birth to a cool, sophisticated, naked blue hedgehog to save the world from the disturbed evil genius Dr. Robotnik (Eggman) on the Mega Drive (Genesis) and the success of the franchise leading to three much loved sequels on the platform before his transformation to CDs.
His side scrolling platform antics can be experienced on the move with a very good looking port on the GameBoy Advance, complete with added spin dash and save (not found in the original) for some very different experiences.
Whether the team will bring the other titles to Nintendo portables is currently unknown. Please Sega, please.
Thanks to Jeux-France for the screens.
