F-Zero GX Media FootageThe Bounty Hunter has ironically been huntedGame DataF-Zero GX Today, some interesting high quality video feeds, direct from SEGA/Amusement Vision, reveals GameCube in-game footage, most of which contains some highly detailed FMV footage, almost lifelike in terms of visuals and the situations the characters are placed in. Notably, the characters and ships are equally as designed as the sci-fi envisioned world comes to play - spiralling loops, large outskirts of a new desert level with immensely small sand particles brushing against the cooled calcium carbonate glass windows of each ship, the flames, the intricate details on the land below... It all seems to be coming together rather nicely, and also, some form of plot seems to be emerging. From the 2 small images above, it seems that hired bounty hunter has ironically been made the prey as one of his clients doesn't seem too keen on his rather retro ensemble and has decided to, well, threaten him. The story mode has quite a large potential, although many games that shouldn't have such a mode have been known to be typically lacking in development. In comparison, F-Zero GX seems to be the usual mafia inspired science fiction outing, but this time perhaps integrating certain missions with times and positions in a race; it's a possibility. What also seems to be present is the constant burst of speed, but, where is the weaponry - perhaps a game like this doesn't need such an extra, but it would do the game justice to include a few additions in that area, and it would also reflect on the "bounty hunter" of Falcon's persona. Overall, the game is shaping to be your better than average science fiction racer and an immersive plot is slowly being revealed with the gameplay and visuals to provide a very strong foundation.
