Bloody hell! Seems like there's probably little chance of grabbing a copy of this (legally, of course).

wow!! cant wait for it to come over here... was considering an import but theres no way i am now 1:wont be able to get hold of one and 2: it will cost loads on ebay cos everyone wants one Smilie oh well i guess ill wait!

It's what i expected the japanese love FF to bits

Mike Gee of iZINE said, "...The Verve, as he [Richard Ashcroft] promised, had become the greatest band in the world. Most of the critics agreed with him. Most paid due homage. The Verve were no longer the question mark or the clich. They were the statement and the definition."

wow. Go Planet!

I find your lack of faith disturbing!

FFV is next.

Silence is the loudest noise we could possibly hear.

I didn't realise there was already one out on the GBA! Must procure! Damn. Should've not been behind that rock. ^^

Woooooooo!!!

Yep, they sure love FF!

we all want FF3 it seems

And that's from an initial shipment of ~450,000 units! So almost a complete Day 1 sell out Smilie

Great to see Rune Factory shifting 30,000 (42% of its stock) on its first day. Should make at least 40,000 by next week's chart...lining it up nicely for a confirmed European launch via Rising Star Games Smilie

Square only shipped 450K copies? They should have known better! Smilie

Nintendo only shipped 800,000 copies of NSMB in week one, but managed to sell 900,000 after a week due to getting more stock out to stores ASAP. I'd assume S-E will know of the major demand and stick more copies in stores soon...

My estimate for it? 450,000-500,000 by next week's chart. We shall see! Smilie

I thought they would have shipped near a million if the PS2 final fantasy's are anything to go by 2.2m in a week as for Rune Factory they are very good sales considering the beast that FF is out on the hottest games machine ever in Japan

Show's that the Harvest Moon fanbase don't overlap with the FF fanbase. HM has always been a niche series with its own fans (that was my theory, anyway), and it looks like that is the case here.

Good news indeed! Smilie

Idiots...why would you release your game during the same day a FF game is being released...

Clearly NOT idiots...since Rune Factory has sold more in its first day that Innocent Life, the HM spin-off on the PSP has done in total!

Also, the two previous DS HMs (Colobocle Station, which we're getting as HM DS soon, and Colobocle Station for Girls) both started at 30,000 units or less for their first week TOTALS! So 30,000 on Day One is pretty damn impressive...

I feel a WOOT! is in order thenSmilie

Indeed...a proper l33t w00t!11!!!11 Smilie And it is almost 100% confirmed that Rising Star Games will pick it up for Europe (since it's the Euro arm of Marvelous Interactive, the Japanese publisher).

well they did have pre orders for 450000 so its understandable really. nintendo and SE have been ready for this title and i wouldn't expect shortages after the debarcle of children of mana or else SE would push nintendo to the back of its dev lists.

And then there's Dragon Quest Monsters coming out in October, which going from the past three outings in the series will definitely be a million seller as well.

Chocobo & the Magic Picturebook will likely grab 300,000 sales and then we'll be bombarded by new Square Enix games, no doubt Smilie

Impressive sales, now let's see it do just aswell in the US and Europe. We might then get some more Square Enix love with "that Chocobo one" and other future releases.
