Nintendo Wii & DS Media | Monkey Ball, Jump Superstars 2, Square Enix RPG, Tingle & More!

By Adam Riley 03.08.2006 13

Below we have a bunch of new scans, thanks to neo and Jonnyram of NeoGAF.com, mainly from the latest issue of Famitsu magazine.

The first one has the first images of Square Enix's newly announced Chocobo & the Magic Picturebook, showing how the game seems to be using the Final Fantasy III graphics engine. That particular scan also confirms the 12th October release of Final Fantasy V Advance and states Final Fantasy VI Advance is still on for a 2006 launch.

Next up is the Ganbarion-developed sequel to the half million selling Jump Super Stars, called Jump Ultimate Stars, followed by four scans of Sega's upcoming Sangokushi Taisen DS. After that there are two scans of Tingle's RPG, which appears to have Wi-Fi functionality and launches on 2nd September.

Next up is a scan featuring both the new Custom Robo from Noise (called 'Custom Robo Arena' in the US) and a re-release of the Nintendo-themed mahjong game Yakuman, complete with online chatting featuring the new DS headset. Last, but by no means least, is Super Monkey Ball Banana Blitz for the Nintendo Wii, with two pages of scans showing crazy minigames! Enjoy:

i think it will either be a racign game as they did do one on the ps1. but with the title, "and the magic picture book", i'd expect some kind of adventure game starring chocobo. would be great as long as they give chocobo some personality like in ffunlimited.

Where did you say it would be a rpg then?

Awesome stuff, hopefully Monkey Ball would be back to its roots this time round - can't wait to give that a shot, seems like a perfect companion for the Wiimote!

Wondering if Jump satars will do better than the original 563,500 units in japan it wouldn't be bundled with the red DS, but will have a much bigger userbase now and the online factor lets hope we have anpther milllion selller on the DS.

Monkey ball looks so good. Same with tingle RPG. I'd rather get Monkey Ball though.

Is that guy... Playing with bananas? Smilie Sangokushi Taisen looks to me like Dynasty Warrios with cards... Better than no Dynasty Warriors I suppose
