A new video from the next Final Fantasy portable instalment has hit the Internet with dungeon exploration, boss battles, music and cut scenes. RPG fans are certainly in for a treat!

The footage also demonstrates that appearing load times in-between different scenes which are slightly longer than a typical DS venture, but would be expected with such a large scale title.

There could be possible spoilers, so be warned!

For those without streaming capabilities, the video can also be downloaded by clicking here.

With absolutely gorgeous visuals and music, Square Enix's DS venture would definitely be hard to turn down.

Thanks to Neogaf member jj984jj for the tip.

The game debuts, alongside the DS Lite themed hardware, in Japan on the 24th of August 2006 at 22780 Yen ($199 US,

This game looks absolutely awesome - definitely one to pick up when it hits the west. Hopefully with the potential sucess of FFIII, we'll get other remakes or even new titles in the future..

Possibly, as those you could definitely get a bit cheaper then a standard DS game and you could get a feel for the style of game and series.

don't worry your not the only one, I am looking foward to picking this one up tho and it will be my first Final fantasy game, ive heard the first Final fantasy is good but the second sucks but seen asthough you can buy them bundled together it might be worth it.

Wow that looks great, would I be right in guessing that this should hit the european shores end of the year or early next year.

Sorry, but it really looks a bit boring; the battles, the sound effects, even the music. Smilie
Hopefully the story is top-notch?

I'm definitly picking this one up it look s greatSmilie

It is a shame there is no physical contact if you know what i mean. The characters dont run up and actually hit the enemies. I find it a bit wierd that they have left that out, it cant have been too hard to put in Smilie

OMG!!! basically a new PS1 FF CANT WAIIIIIIIIT!
The physical contact thing i think is on purpose because they never ran up to the enimies in the older 2D FF games.

I think so too, people on NeoGAF are saying that's the reason why there's no physical contact between characters.

Looks really awesome!

Bah kids and their modern FF games, running up to enimies tsk.

Looks absolutlely amazing, especially for a DS game. It was indeed abit boring, but heh, this is only one small part of the whole game. Can't wait to see more.

They still have that "Duh duh duh-duh duh duh. Duh duh duh-duh duh duh". At the beginning and through out the Battle Music.

I will be buying this, the graphical mix of FF1 and FF9 lures me in.

*lol* Yes, they are happy when they win! No japanese RPG is complete without the cheer!
It was common not to run to the enemies, yes, that's right

It may seem a bit slow as these games where not that fast in the past. But I like it. You just saw 2 battles and a bit exploring. I don't think Golden Sun was any faster than this. But I enjoyed them.

If you want any Final Fantasy, then be aware. The first one are like Zelda 1 - very good but not that epic as the successors. You may want to start with this part if you want 3D-graphic. I only played X, a bit of XIII and saw part VII, but you can start with every title of final Fantasy you like. I wouldn't chose X-2 or XI you know, as these are no real Final Fantasies (being an action-spinoff and an expensive online-title).

I find your lack of faith disturbing!

if only they did that for ff5,
that'd kick so much ass

this game wil be the first 3d final fantasy rpg for ds and it's going to have the sae effect on people as when ff7 released, i believe. Looks amazing

I hope they FF7 on the DS that would bring DS up tenfold

Have to agree with Bart looks a bit dull but in my opinion i just can't get into Final Fantasy games at all. But i have no doubt that this game will be excellent and a must for you RPG slutsSmilie

By the way the graphics are amazing in motion

this is so great. i need this game when is it out in america i want to import it

i want to import it

I wouldn't advise it unless you speak japaneseSmilie

I think he means from the U.S.

Oh yeah weird I assumed he was from america for some reasonSmilie

The game looks awesome, it is definantly a good remake of the origional

Looks good, although I hope it won't be slow moving in battles. After playing FFX all week with quick consecutive turn based moves, and then a quick go of FF5 today, I had to switch FF5 off because the battle pace was so slow waiting for those ATB bars to move up. And yes, the ATB speed was on fast. Hopefully FF3 will be fast paced too.

Also, lack of contact with enemies looks a bit disappointing but I hope it's the only dislike of the game for me.

I don't see why the lack of contact is a problem. Surely it doesn't make a big difference?

Anyway, what amuses me is how the graphics have been completely overhauled, but the music and sound effects have only been bumped up from NES to SNES standards!
