Nintendo News | Wii Motor Sports in Development?

Quick News: According to Nintendojo, a new sporting concept has been discussed in recent edition of US magazine, Nintendo Power. The article states that the Airplane game for Wii is part of the Wii Motor Sports collection. Motor Sports is said to feature easy to control motor vehicles however is not officially in development as Nintendo is considering options for the title.

Ooh, interesting! I might prefer that they focused on making full games out of them though, as they already have Excite Truck in progress and people are practically salivating for a new Pilotwings.

I like the sports package idea i think they will probably make 2 or 3 collections of them, which could follow proper games like Mario sports titles and Pro Evo etc

Hehe, I'm liking the sound of these little collections - I'd much prefer a combination of a few games as opposed to having to shell out for each one individually - makes it less gimmicky too.

If they do decide to do something with Wii Motor sports, it'll definitely be a good title to introduce people to the Wii.

Nintendo is in dire need of a full on racing simulation type thing(Gran Tourismo, PGR) from somewhere. God knows who'd make it though.

I think they have to develop a good controlling-style for such realistic racing-games. Maybe they need a bit mor time to do so.
But it would great to hear someone having such a big racing titel in development...!

I think Nintendo needs more proper racing games, not party racing games, proper ones, the GC has either none, or like one or two (F-Zero)

Or Nintendo could make F-Zero themselves.

Also, instead of making a game for EACH Mario sport this time round, they should make a MASSIVE Mario Kart game, & then a "Mario Sports" title with Tennis, Golf, Smash Football etc, instead of releasing them seperately, the Wii certainly has the space to.

there is a pretty realistic racing game on Cube. I played it once. It's called R:Racing.

I want OutRun 2007, and it's pretty likely now that it's a multiplatform annual thing.

A GT type game would shift systems, even if we'd hate it.

Definitely liking the sound of Mario Sports but i would like to see Nintendo to put in a lot of effort in Mario Sports games for online mode, think about it a Toadstool PGA Tour and you could do a Mushroom Grand slam same for a lot of sports these games would be brilliant with online modes.

Agree completely with Mseny PGR, RR and GT are blandly dull *oop a corner coming hold left..this is so much fun* yeah we need speed and road rage the likes of Burnout, F-zero and ExciteTruck (or even ExciteBike)are needed

i reckon the plane thing will turn into pilot wings eventualy it was sorely missed on the gc. maybe with the wii motorsports thing it could be "wii excite". they've got excite truck so now we need excite bike or excite gt. in a package this would be great. they need to take fzero under their wing as the gc version was alright but nothing special. i'd love another top gear rally game. it was great on the n64.
