By Jorge Ba-oh 30.06.2006 39

It's time for the gaming community and eagar fan-people to rejoice once more, a Wii flap has been opened and a power supply spotted. The facination with plastic flaps is confusing, but we have all the action inside...

Stay tuned for more plastic action.

The GC has all those rediculous cavities on its underside. Wierd box of tricks that.

It's going to be shit and you jolly well know it.

So, no more taking someone for dumb (even if it was not intended) *winking at SegaHund*

I heard (wasn't it here at Cubed3?), that the front flap opens to a shaft for the SD-card. The others are well known...

What is the button inside fthe front flap for? Releasing the sd-card?

I find your lack of faith disturbing!

Telling the wii where the controllers are. ("synch")

I have a darker screen, so I couldn't tell there was anything until I brightened the 4th, 5th, and 6th pics. I uploaded them to my geocities if anyone wants to look and them brightened up, it's real easy to see
...
The fourth pic looks like an SD card slot, and the 5th and 6th are GC memory cards, I'm pretty sure. They're right by the GC controller ports.

yup, thanks for teh photoshopping, it helps me too. I agree that the 5th and 6th pics definitely show the pair of Cube-memory card slots. The 4th picture slot looks like it would fit a standard SD card as you said, it has to be the revolution's "memory card"

Maybe its a proprietory format, or maybe we can take our memory cards to a computer to share files and that sort of thing, who knows

It seems there's a blue button on the side O.o It could certainly be photoshoped, especially since it looks exactly like the GC X button, but still... Worth a look.

There's also a chance that it's the controller-based button that you have to press after pressing the sync button on the console. It's in a strange position for a much-used button anyway so that's probably the most likely...

looks more like the Z-button put on the GC-Controller in a rush when they heard from the 3rd party developers they missed the Z-button.

Ooh, nice spot Megadan. Wouldn't surprise me if it's a last minute addition to give more buttons/give the remote shoulder buttons when turned sideways.

I love shoulder buttons. Gives me something to do with my index fingers.

What else do you do with your index fingers?

IF you ask me, those flaps are asking to be broken off. Also, could 8-person games be possible, or even 12 person games with 4 on GCN controllers, 4 on remote, and 4 on the classic controller?

I think the modes do not stack. Means: When you play in Gamecube-mode you can not use Wiimote. BUT: where do the wirebound-controllers go if not in these jacks?

Yeah but look again. She's holding the controller upside-down, so the button would be on the bottom rather than the top... slightly awkward for a shoulder button. If it was a bit lower down then I suppose it could be pressed quite easily with the middle finger, but from there it looks too high up...

Or it could just be a fake >_> Apparently it's from Nintendo Power so you'd think someone would mention it in the magazine

Looks more like a little label to me.

It's going to be shit and you jolly well know it.

It's at the top of the remote, as the wire is coming from the opposite side. Turning the remote into NES-style mode would have it as a shoulder button. Could just be a label as Grumbler says, though.

But it's to the left of the A button... That would be on the bottom when you turn it sideways...

Anyway yeah it does just look like a sticker now that you mention it >_>
