Nothing is currently known about Metroid: Zero Mission, but it is clear from te screenshots that the development team has certainly got to grips with the GBA's graphical hardware far more than it had when Metroid Fusion was released. Whereas Fusion looked like a slightly inferior version of Super Metroid from the SNES, Zero Mission is turning out to be one of the most aesthetically pleasing 2D titles ever! The setting appears to be in familiar territory, with several of the onscreen enemies lifted from past adventures. The game's name may hint towards this being a prequel to the entire series, following Samus Aran's first ever foray into the world of alien killing. There has been no release date announced as of yet, but you can be assured that from the nature of these shots, the game is definitely far along in the development process. More will be revealed later today as the game hits the E3 show floor...So keep it here!
