Sonic Hero

Game Data

Newly announced title, Sonic Hero, is a new multformat platorming game with a twist - now you can control 3 members of your team at once from a different selection of groups as it were. But, at time of writing, it is still uncertain about how the system would work, and all that is show is all 3 working at once.

Game Features

  • Choose from 4 teams: Team Sonic, Team Dark, Team Rose and Team Chaotix.
  • Each team has their own story and specialised stages.
  • Each individual member of the team have their own ablities and techniques.
  • Certain puzzles need to be overcome by working in sequences as part of a team.
  • Each level has multiple paths to take, as well as a selection of active environments.
  • Reflects upon the classic formula seen in the Genesis/Mega Drive II games, but, the visuals from the Sonic Adventure series.

It seems that Sonic Adventure DX could indeed be the last addition to that series, and maybe even the final exclusive title to the Gamecube, and now Sonic has gone multiformat - and perhpas taking teamwork to a new level even in a similar vein to Four Swords on the GameboyAdvance.

The screens look fairly average, and like Sonic Adventure DX, a little jagged in places, as well as the ususal Sonic poses. The levels themselves appear to be expansive, and hopefully will still retain the linear feel that the franchise is known for, and reduce the amount of exporation that gamers aren't really used to when playing a game of this nature.
