Nintendo News | Chibi-Robo Producer Starts New DS Project

Quick News - Kenichi Nishi, the producer of Chibi-Robo for the GameCube, has announced via his blog that he has left Skip, Ltd (makers of GiFTPiA) to form his own company, Route24. His next project is reportedly to be 'LOL DS', mentioning that he wants to create a party game for 4-8 people. He also talks about possible future support of the Revolution. Yep, since leaving Squaresoft, Nishi-san has been through several companies, including the one that did LOL on the DreamCast. I think the fact that Skip didn't get GiFTPiA released in the West won't have helped the situation for him. Plus, other staff blogs regularly mentioned how there were problems during the development process, before Chibi Robo was released. Didn't sound like a happy team!

But at least he's still following Nintendo...
