Nintendo News | DS Crowned King of Fighters

By Jorge Ba-oh 25.04.2006 6

Quick News: According to IGN the SNK arcade series, King of Fighters, will be making its way to Nintendo's DS sometime in the near future. At a recent King of Fighters event, the series producer Falcoon confirmed that details on a DS version will be revealed in the near future (presumably E3).Certainly good news for leading handheld giant, and hopefully would pave the way for future handheld fighters.

Stick with C3 for future updates...

This could be great news indeed, 'tis a highly respected series. Not quite certain how it could work on DS, though...

This'll be the first real fighting game to come to DS, that I can think of. There is a Dragonball Z game (which I haven't played Smilie) It'll be intersting to see how, if at all, it uses the touch screen.

Finally, a propper fighting game for DS.

I don't really care if it uses the touch screen or not. DS controls are perfect for fighting games.

Between this and Guilty Gear: Dust Strikers, the DS has some hardcore fighters. Now, where's MK and Street Fighter when you need them??

-Have you any idea what it's like to be a Fembot living in a Manbot's Manputer's world?
-What?

Didn't stop SNK from going bust at one point, though! Sacrifice for nothing...hehe Smilie
